As always I’m here with my long soppy post the following day!😂🙈
First of all a huge thank you to everyone that turned up and made the effort to come along last night. It doesn’t go unnoticed those who continue to support us.
I’ll try not to repeat myself or Luke but as we said yesterday, we’re almost 3 years on now & so many of you continue to be an advocate for our charity & it really does mean the world to all the family.
I just want to say before I continue with my thank you’s..
Whilst we appreciate sometimes it may look like we raise all this money and you guys don’t really see where it goes, that’s because sometimes it doesn’t go far or anywhere at all. What I mean by that is if we were for example a cancer charity we’d be broke right now because sadly it’s such a common illness however, moyamoya disease is a one in a million rare condition that isn’t something I say because my boy was that.. I say it because it’s factual. That’s how rare the disease is.. meaning finding children especially with the brain disease is incredibly difficult which is what makes this charity all the more important, to continue raising that much needed awareness.
Since opening this charity we have helped 4 families across England with funding, one of them went on a lovely uk trip as a family. Thankfully all 4 children have had successful surgery’s and all children who are all under the age of 8 are now doing well💙
We continue to work with the nhs to get better training for staff, knowledge, radiography screening sooner ect but I’m sure you can appreciate things like this don’t happen over night and myself and Luke do both work full time and still have our beautiful daughter to take care of whilst also still navigating through grief every day & living the best we can.
Now onto last night,
WOW!
What an amazing turn out as always, everyone made an effort with the outfits, the line dancing, the racing. You were all fantastic and we really couldn’t continue honouring our boy without you all!
Thank you to Ryan who did our race night last night with the help of Scott. It wouldn’t be the same without you.
Dust & denim for joining us this year and running our line dancing session!
Gareth who joins us every year and is part of the family capturing all our favourite moments which I can’t wait to share with you all soon!
Visual tech productions for the screen hire. Fantastic service as always!
Heavenly float for the balloons display (That’s me just thought they were worth the shout out😂)
Stage letters for our darling boys name in lights!
To my family and friends for their undeniable effort this year and every year we do anything.
& lastly to you guys, for being present, for being loud, for spending & for your kind words throughout the night.
Any photos you have drop them in the comments, tag us, share us to your friends & keep following our journey as we continue to honour our son Lucas.
And for the last time, thank you once again. We will be back next year for our 4th annual event.. do we reckon another Full Monty is due? I’m sure they all agreed to me last night.. could of been the alcohol though👀
Until next time💫
Danielle, Luke, Isla & family x
