The Terminus Initiative The Terminus Initiative is based in Lowedges & serves the communities of Lowedges, Jordanthorpe and Batemoor. Creche is provided free of charge!

The Terminus Initiative was set up in 2002 by a partnership of local churches serving the Lowedges estate:

The Terminus Upper Rooms:

Based on the first floor - here you will find The Terminus office, Healthy Living Centre, Prayer Room & Community Meeting Rooms. The Healthy Living Centre: Based in the Upper Rooms, the HLC delivers a healthy living community programme throughout Lowedges, Batemoor & Jordanthorpe. The Public Health Involvement Team (PHIT) runs a range of activities and events promoting better health & well-being for the local community: you can try anything from Dance or Aerobic classes to Mental Wellbeing classes to Community Food Growing & much more!! Befriending Scheme: The Women's Conversation Club runs every Tuesday 1-3pm at The Michael Church, Lowedges Road. This is for asylum seeker, refugee & migrant women. We also aim to support individuals throughout all the projects we run, and will signpost people to any specific services they might need. Community Outreach Manager: Elaine Hollings

Wool, knitting patterns, needles, some sewing machines and haberdashery available also.
