This Saturday 19th is your chance to explore Sheffield Town Hall, discover its hidden treasures and take a tour behind the scenes. This special Sheffield Heritage Open Days event is suitable for all ages & includes special activities for children, and is a drop-in event between 10.00 - 15.00.

Wednesday's highlights include demonstrations of traditional axe grinding at Wood Tools (Beehive Works, Milton St, drop in 10am-1pm) and a talk on the Sheffield Blitz (Sheffield Town Hall, 1pm, limited number of extra tickets just released.)

Great to see a large crowd for one of our new events for this year’s Sheffield Heritage Open Days - a tour of historic Beauchief Gardens. And it’s hopefully soon to be the new home of the Victorian horse trough formerly at Hunters Bar!

A couple of drop-in events for you tomorrow - 11am a guided tour of Beauchief Gardens where you can discover the secrets of this little park ticked away on Abbeydale Rd South, next to the Industrial Hamlet. Or why not visit the Stocksbridge Heritage Museum for a stunning and unique collection of local glassware and pottery? Open 10am - 2pm.
