A little something to start the school year 💚🎒

Thanks to donations from colleagues across Green Bridge, we raised £260 through our Back to School Drive, enough to provide a £20 Asda George voucher to each of the 13 school aged children within the families we support.

Each voucher is also being given with a handwritten message from our team, wishing them a brilliant year ahead. 🌟

We hope this little gesture helps with some of the costs that come with a new school year and gives every child a positive start.

A huge thank you to everyone across Green Bridge who donated and helped make this possible. 💚

Sometimes, a support session looks like this. 💚🏊‍♀️

Lizzie recently headed out for some outdoor swimming with her Support Worker, Alison, making the most of the fresh air, the water and a change of scenery.

Sometimes it really is good for the soul. 😊

Support doesn’t always have to happen indoors. It can be about getting out into the community, trying something different, building confidence and spending time doing something you enjoy.

🎒💚 Supporting local families this school year

We were delighted to visit Owler Brook Primary School to donate £500 towards school uniform vouchers, helping the school support families who may be facing extra financial pressure with the cost of uniform.

Karen, our Families Supported Accommodation Officer, joined Will and two of Owler Brook’s pupils to mark the donation.

A big thank you to everyone at Owler Brook for welcoming us. We hope the contribution makes a real difference to families as the new school year gets underway. 💚

Communication can make a big difference 💚

For International Literacy Day, we caught up with two Housing Officers working across our services who happen to have something else in common... they’re both called Faisal! 😄

The two Faisals spoke about how language and communication come into their work, how speaking other languages can help when English isn’t someone’s first language, and how building confidence with English can support everyday communication and independence.
