Hazelhurst CSA will have an AGM on Thursday 21st September from 6 to 7.30, doors open at 5.30 for refreshments.

Venue Heeley City Farm Cafe

Hazelhurst started over 10 years ago and was one of the pioneers of local organic food growing in Sheffield. Founding members and events moved on, and following the sale of the vegbag business last year we were thinking of closing down this year if no-one could be found to make use of the Co-op infrastructure.

Happily, there are now Hazelhurst members who are keen to take Hazelhurst into a new phase of local organic food production and distribution in association with Regather. We think that this is a good use of the cooperative infrastructure that was painstakingly set up and that substantial positive advances could be made for local food.

The agenda and an outline proposal will be emailed to you shortly. The proposal will be presented formally at the AGM for discussion.

Please could you bring your own eggs and if you have your favourite colour paints and any glitter, ribbons etc, bring those too to make your Easter Tree look fantastic! 🐣

Can we do this celebration here in Shefffield? With a coalition of groups?

Calling all Earth Guardians Crews: Join us in our next Protect Our Future Campaign starting March 21st- June 21st! This spring we will be Protecting our Earth and Soil which is one crucial step to invigorating the health of our planet.

We are asking Earth Guardians all over the world to get creative in finding ways to regenerate the soil as a way of pulling carbon out of our atmosphere! Join our Carbon sequestration Challenge and host activities like creating biochar, building biointensive gardens, rotational grazing grassland restoration, street art, grassland and habitat restoration, and educational outreach to name a few.

We encourage everyone to use their passions and imagination to find ways to heal our Earth.

Please join us for a Christmas wreath making and (non-alcoholic) punch on 29th November from 1pm up on the field.

We will walk around the land collecting items, then Renate will show us how to create either a door hanging or table centre piece whilst enjoying some Christmas punch!

**Please note, all items will be foraged from the land, or provided for by us but if you would like to create a table centre piece, please bring your own candle.**
