These crocus corms remind us every year that Polio is still evident in the world but only in one country now. Just funding for one more push will enable enough vaccinations to wipe it out altogether - as smallpox has been wiped out.

Congratulations to Mike who was made a Member of the British Empire in the King's New Year's Honours for services to the community. This includes his services as a Rotarian over his 45 years membership both in physical work and fund raising. Here's a couple of examples - fund raising by opening his garden (he's the one in shorts!) and gardening for Mossbrook Special Scool (he's the on on the left).
