✂️ The group cut out various animals and items and made a new creation. If they couldn’t find anything in a magazine, they had the option to draw instead!

👉 Take part in our short survey and you could win one of 8 £40 One4All vouchers.

👉 We are running a short Easy Read survey to hear from people with a learning disability.

👉 People with a learning disability can answer the questions themselves, or carers can answer on their behalf.

❓The survey is quick and simple. It explores:

• how people with a learning disability use accessible information
• how often they receive it
• where they would like to see more of it
• their views on AI

🗣️ Your input will help us better understand how to make information more accessible in the future.

🧘 One of our Summer Sessions included a bit of yoga.

🖼️ In the ‘Monday Makers Group’ have been focusing on the artist Kadinsky over the summer sessions.

🖼️ The group have created art while listening to music, using the primary colours and some of the shapes Kadinsky used in his own art work. The members were encouraged to be free and let loose with expressing themselves on the paper and would switch places with other members and continue their art on top of other art. They used pre cut triangles, circles and black lines with a background colour of their choice.

🎬 Movie Club Group has arrived at Sheffield Mencap! Our summer sessions groups watched both films of Wicked!

🎬 That's not all though the group received a cinema ticket to gain entry and for the full cinema experience made their own popcorn cones because you can't watch a film without popcorn right?! 🍿

🎬 The group also voted for the colour of the room, the colours they could choose from were 'Wicked' themed and the group chose blue for a spooky feel 🔮

😀 Looking for a fun and friendly way to spend your Sunday? Join us for Sunday Social – a relaxed, inclusive monthly group for people with a learning disability and/or autism, along with their families and carers.

🍴For just £4, you’ll enjoy unch and a choice of activities including pool, snooker, karaoke, games and more.

🏝 Each month we have a theme - September's is Caribbean style food and board games

🍬Our Summer Session ‘Games & Challenges Group’ played the “Sweets Game”.

🍬Every time they roll a 6, they have to get loads of costume pieces on and fish a sweet out of the tub with a knife and fork… all before someone else rolls a 6.

💙 There's only 8 weeks left of our partnership with the Local Community Fund, so if you haven't chosen us as your cause yet - now is the time to do it!

💙 By signing up for a Co-op card (it's only £1 and you get lots of discounts too) and choosing us as your cause, every time you shop at Co-op they will donate funds to our Learning Disability Kids Fitness Group.
