Thank you to everyone who took part in counting wildlife, plants and trees in our local green spaces - Wisewood community garden and The spider park. It was so good to see everyone.
It was such fun.
Much was recorded and will be passed on to when I have collated the things we spotted.
Here are few pictures of our findings.

Friends of Wisewood community garden need your help.
On Saturday 25th of April come and help us fill the new raised bed with soil and learn how to make a 'no dig' bed for our perennials and bulbs. We are a small group (and there's a lot of soil to shift) so as many people as possible would be great :). Everyone is welcome including families. All equipment is provided - just bring gloves if you have them.
We will be at the community garden (next to RIVA) from 1pm - 3pm.

With immaculate timing, last night's winds have brought down a tree across the newly cleared jennel. Unfortunately it's right between our 2 clumps of bluebells, so any clearing of the tree may be a problem. Hope they survive...🤞🤞Tree is a hazard so watch yourself if using the jennel. Reported to the council.

An impressive litter haul collected and reported to the council for collection. Special shout out to litter pick supremo, Joanne Lee!

Nearly 20 volunteers from the Friends of Wisewood Spider Park group and 5 Rivers cohousing turned out today to help clear the jennel down to Dial House Road. Strimming brambles and nettles to clear the path, litter picking and some planting of daffodils and bluebells. Big thank you to all who helped and worked so hard to keep our neighbourhood looking good.

It was very cold and windy for our March gardening session in the Wisewood Community Garden.
There was a discussion about where and how to construct our Water Harvesting project as currently there is no water on site. Thanks to Will who is an engineer who came over to see us and give us his advice.
We also cleared twigs, weeded and cleared the beds, sowed ox-eye daisies, planted hellebores and some rhubarb, also 2 potatoes and broad bean seeds (with purple flowers), and put some soil around Diane's Christmas tree as it was leaning to one side.

It's our gardening session at 1pm on sat 28 march. Do come along
