COULD YOU BE OUR ASSISTANT MUSICAL DIRECTOR?

Manor Operatic Society is looking for a talented and enthusiastic Assistant Musical Director to join the team for our spectacular 2026/27 pantomime, Peter Pan at Sheffield City Hall.

This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of one of the country's leading amateur musical theatre societies and work on a production that is widely regarded as one of the largest amateur pantomimes in the UK.

We're looking for someone who:
🎵 Is a confident pianist and accompanist
🎵 Has experience supporting musical theatre rehearsals and vocal coaching
🎵 Can work closely with our Musical Director, Production Team and cast
🎵 Is able to collaborate on, and independently create, musical arrangements
🎵 Shares our passion for creating exceptional theatre

As Assistant Musical Director, you'll play a key role in bringing the magic of Peter Pan to life, helping performers develop their musical performances throughout the rehearsal process. There may also be an opportunity to play in the orchestra for the production, along with future involvement in Manor Operatic Society shows and events.

This is a paid position.

Friends of Concord Park are asking for your help.

Off-road motorbikes and quad bikes are causing damage in our parks and woodlands, including at nearby Wincobank Hill, where important archaeological remains are being destroyed. They can also be dangerous and intimidating for walkers and families, and create significant noise disturbance.

Please discourage young people from riding off-road in these areas. If you see or hear illegal bikes, report them to 101 or online. Police have powers to seize vehicles being used illegally, and enforcement is expected to increase this summer.

Let's work together to protect our green spaces and local heritage.
