⭐️Client Spotlight!⭐️

We recently welcomed this fabulous lady to our styling rooms at The Suit Works!

She was looking for something classic to prepare for her upcoming interviews. And of course Peter The Personal Stylist ‎️‍was on hand to help this lady transform! If this was a video, you would hear lots of laughing and see lots of dancing as her confidence was firmly on display!

For those new to us (hey new followers 👋), this is what we do! We provide confidence through personal styling to prepare individuals for their interviews and new job roles. Lack of suitable clothing should not be a barrier to employment, and we are here to breakdown barriers and improve confidence!

Every single person coming through our doors is different. We take the time to get to know them and work with them to ensure they are the best version of themselves going into that interview or new role! ❤️

We are looking for TWO lovely new volunteers to join The Suit Works team!

⭐️ Wardrobe Volunteer⭐️
We're looking for someone who doesn't mind getting stuck into:
✨ Sort clothing donations
✨ Ironing and steaming (lots of!)
✨ Help keep our wardrobe looking its best

⭐️Bookkeeper Volunteer⭐️
We're looking for someone with experience using Quickbooks who can help us with our basic finance admin!

Both roles can be undertaken on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday and can range from 2-4 hours depending on your availability.

It's Volunteers' Week 2026!🎉🎉

The charity sector would not survive without our amazing volunteers. From wardrobe assistants to digital experts to our board of trustees; these are all voluntary roles within our service. ⭐️

Here are two of our current regular volunteers that we couldn't do without!

⭐️Millie came to us as a wardrobe assistant but after witnessing staff struggling with basic design and content work (😂) she now plays a huge part in ensuring everything looks fabulous (both online and in our HQ!) This is a work in progress and she plugs away every week looking at how this will look longer term.⭐️

⭐️Solomon provides his expertise in online vinted sales and not only sorts through stock but also take fabulous pictures, uploads and helps us raise funds that we put into stock we are short of through regular donations.⭐️

Both of these roles are vital and we want to say a huge thank you to them for the time they give. 🙏

Are you ready to meet our new Project Support Officer?! Sam Cleasby
joined the team this week and we feel like she has been with us forever!

Sam will probably be the person you speak to when a referral is made, or she might be the one that welcomes you when you come to our HQ. She might also be the one that styles you to perfection or she might be found under a mountain of donations? Who knows? 🤷🏻‍♀️

What we do know is she has fitted into the team perfectly this week and we are over the moon that she is part of our fabulous Sheffield based charity. She's a woman that flies the flag for so many amazing causes and we are delighted that's she is now involved with The Suit Works! ❤️

Our new stylist Peter The Personal Stylist has hit the ground running! Here is a sneak peak of his first couple of weeks with us! Keep watching for the all important transformations! ❤️

Not only does he spend lots of time with each client, he also spends time in our wardrobe overseeing incoming donations and ensuring everything is clean and ready for use! ⭐️

He's also our new unofficial content creator as this man knows how to work that camera! 🕺🏻

Big news! ⭐️

We are absolutely over the blooming moon to introduce our new stylist Peter The Personal Stylist

Peter comes with years of styling experience and is a famous face around the region. Not only is he an expert in colour analysis, he KNOWS what works when it comes to boosting confidence. 🌈 🌈

He's been a supporter of The Suit Works for several years, and has donated an enormous amount of clothing to us. ❤️

He's already styled up the first set of clients this week, boosting their confidence. 🎉

This role is so much more than finding the perfect outfit. It's about listening to our clients, finding out where the are in life and supporting them on their road to success. 😊

We certainly have the right man for the job! ❤️

We have recently said goodbye to our incredible Chair and Trustee, Jan Harwood, as she steps down from her role. ❤️

Jan has been the longest-standing member of The Suit Works team, dedicating just over 9 amazing years to our charity. She’s been the driving force behind our growth, guiding us through staff changes, moves to new locations, funding highs and lows—and everything in between that comes with small charity life! Her commitment, passion, and leadership have ensured we have continued to grow and evolve.

While we’re truly sad to see her go, we know it’s time for Jan to enjoy life and the next chapter ahead—and she absolutely deserves it ✨ Thank you, Jan, for everything.

At the same time, we’re thrilled to welcome our fantastic new Chair, Patricia Hughes

With a strong background in the NHS, Patricia brings visible leadership, a kind and compassionate approach, and a natural ability to inspire teams and raise standards of care. We couldn’t be happier to have her join us, and we’re so excited for what’s ahead!

Here’s to new beginnings while celebrating an incredible legacy 💫

We've just had a great morning at the Blades Youth Hub Job Fair. ⭐️

It was so lovely to meet so many young people who are all eager to take that next step. And we were so proud to bump into this guy again! He visited us this week as he wanted to make a good impression at the event.We think he looks brilliant! 😊

These events are a great opportunity to engage with a younger audience. We've had so many lovely conversations with people needing our support and we can't wait to see them again over the coming weeks!

Huge thanks to Sheffield United Community Foundation for arranging this wonderful event today! These guys really know how to work with younger people and it's always fab to be a part of. ❤️

Also great to meet Dominic Heslop who discovered us for the first time and who is doing great work sharing the stories of others. We even had time for abit of recording! 😊

We are looking for a new member of staff to help deliver our fabulous and growing service!

⭐️ Project Support Officer
Hours: 8-10 hours over two days (negotiable for the right candidate!)

CLOSING DATE: 20th April 5pm

Do you have administrative experience? Do you want to make a huge difference to the lives of hundreds of people across the region by being our first point of contact and all rounder? Every day is different in this role and we require someone with amazing people skills and enthusiasm for the cause!

⭐️ It really is the little things that make a big impact! ⭐️

This gentleman came in with his son as it was the school holidays. We believe in breaking down as many barriers to work as possible, and if that means one of us styles a client and the other talks about space travel while drinking juice, then so be it! 🚀

Receiving feedback like this makes us so happy! We don't just provide clothing; we provide a comfortable welcoming space that allows individuals to relax whilst taking their next steps on their pathway to work.

The whole process of getting back into work can be difficult, and we are here to ensure this part of the journey is as positive and supportive as possible.

This is a turning point, not a barrier. ❤️
