🏭 Celebrating Manufacturing in Humberside! 🚀
Today, The Work-wise Foundation delivered our latest Celebration of Manufacturing event, giving students the opportunity to explore local industry, discover career opportunities and develop essential employability skills.
👏 Students from Wyke 6th Form College visited Willerby, while students from Withernsea High School visited Advanced Plastics to learn more about the businesses and the work they do.
The two schools then came together at the Aura Innovation centre for team-building activities and an exciting presentation challenge! 💡
Working in teams, students presented what they had learnt about the company they visited, focusing on either recruitment or advertising a product. This gave them the chance to put their creativity, communication and teamwork skills into practice.
🙌 A huge thank you to Willerby Caravan Homes, Advanced Plastics and the Aura Innovation Centre for helping make the day possible!
📍 And we're not stopping here! This Thursday, we'll be continuing our Celebration of Manufacturing in South Yorkshire, bringing together more schools and businesses to inspire the next generation and showcase the fantastic opportunities within the manufacturing sector.
At The Work-wise Foundation, we're proud to connect young people with businesses, helping them explore industries, develop skills and discover their future possibilities. 💙
