The Friends of Sheffield Cathedral was founded in 1997. The parish church became the Cathedral of the new Diocese of Sheffield in 1914.

Becoming a Friend We are always open to new members. You do not need to have any particular connection with the Cathedral. Friends are those who are glad to offer support to the Cathedral and to be kept in touch with its activities. You will also be invited to special social events and visits to places of interest. If you would like to help Sheffield Cathedral to be a place for all people, the Dean and Chapter invite you to become a Friend.
