🚐 COULD YOU BE ONE OF OUR SAB DRIVERS?🥷

We are in need of folks with a valid driving license to get us around Grove country in our beloved sab vans.

It requires being confident to manoeuvre an 8 seater van around narrow country lanes, in and out of 4 wheel drive, in all conditions and on all terrain - in pursuit of those bloodthirsty hunts. It can often mean a long time behind the wheel, as our drivers are known to spend a full day driving.

Whilst ever those huntscum are out on our streets, we will be close behind making sure to spoil their day.

We are on the look out for new group members.

Any prospective new sabs will be given a thorough induction, and will have the opportunity to shadow us out on a sab to establish which roles are most suited to them. We will be posting more about the different roles in the upcoming days!

COVERDALE SHOOT ECLIPSED BY SABS

With it being the Inglorious 12th of August, it seemed rude not to join up with hunt sab comrades and scour the moors for grouse shooters.

The opening day of the shooting season is held in high regard, though today the Yorkshire Dales were quiet. A potential sign of poor grouse yields and pressure from previous years. Perhaps another sign the shooters ought to quit while there is some semblance of feeling ahead and they cause any more damage to animals or the planet!

Working with multiple groups, we teamed up to cover a large area, which resulted in the disruption of a shoot in Coverdale, close to Leyburn on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Unfortunately, the shooters employed their best buds in North Yorkshire police, to disperse sabs in dribs and drabs as the shoot attempted to continue.

🚨🚨🚨TRIPLE TROUBLE FOR THE GROVE AND RUFFORD 🚨🚨🚨

As if one trial wasn’t enough, a hunt master from the Grove has now landed himself in very hot water. Joshua Taylor was in court yesterday after being charged with assault by beating and criminal damage after he attacked one of our hunt sabs. It’s about time this thug was brought before the criminal courts, as this incident was one in a string of violent attacks towards our sabs who are out relentlessly protecting wildlife from this illegal hunt turned criminal gang. Taylor will go on trial in February 2027, and hopefully be brought to justice.

Huntsman Jacob Whalley and terrierman Ste Reynolds also face trial in November 2026 for interfering with an active badger sett, and getting caught in the act on covert cameras. Two trials in one season, gonna be a busy one for them!

Huntsman Whalley faces prosecution for the second time in 12 months after being convicted under the Hunting Act at the Fitzwilliam already.

It was only last season that ex Grove kennelman Nathan Carley accepted a caution for assaulting a sab, and then disappeared from the hunt, never to be seen again.

Let’s hope these wrong uns are too held to account for their outrageous behaviour. These dirty tactics are desperate attempts to cling onto something that the vast majority of us want to see resigned to the history books. We will continue to make every effort to expose them and get in the way of the vicious cruelty that they subject animals to.

💚💚GREEN PARTY FUNDRAISER💚💚

On Saturday we had the pleasure of hosting a stall at the Yorkshire and Humber Green Party regional conference. We were able to share info of the encounters Sheffield sabs have with various hunts in the surrounding areas, and raise awareness about hunting more broadly and the urgent need for a proper ban - without the loopholes!

It was lovely to share a passion for protecting nature and keeping wildlife safe with so many of you. Thank you for your generous donations and the very interesting chats. We are grateful to have had a presence at the event!

Raising important funds at events like this keeps us out in the field saving the lives of foxes, and holding these entitled abusers to account for terrorising animals and rural communities.
