Sheffield Civic Trust works to encourage discussion, debate and action around Sheffield’s design and development and voice the views of the people of Sheffield to those in the process of reshaping the city. As a non-political, charitable organisation, SCT champions the very best in art, architecture and urban design for the city and engages the local planning authority in discussion about the majo
r schemes that aim to transform the urban fabric of Sheffield. We host events, debates and projects and review urban redevelopment projects, and welcome ideas/support from anyone interested in the plans and designs that affect the future of the city. The SCT committee and membership is made up of a range of people who want to support, follow or contribute to the decisions made that affect design, development and heritage within the city. SCT learns about how the city can be improved and through suggestions/demands and activities and takes an active role in shaping the city. Membership includes invitations to private and public art/architectural/design events, newsletters updating you as to changes being proposed in the city and a platform to contribute to, follow and support developments in the city, and costs £10 annually.
