A big shout out and a massive thank you to Barlborough Links Golf Club who hosted the second Martin Bembridge Memorial Tournament at the weekend. Thanks to them and everyone who played, they managed to raise £275 for Mosborough Football Club! This will help contribute to young people’s journey throughout their time playing football.

There were birdies aplenty like Martin used to knock in playing down at Barlborough and once again, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who contributed to making it a great day and competition❤️

FINAL CHANCE!

On the anniversary of Martin's passing this Saturday (10/02). Friends and family of his will be coming together to remember him and his life by having an 80s night at Club Baize in Beighton, celebrating him in a way he would've loved.

There'll be a DJ throughout the night playing famous 80s tunes. We'll also be having a couple of 80s themed games going on. There's also going to be a silent auction with some fantastic prizes, such as a Romelu Lukaku shirt and a Sheffield United shirt from the 17/18 season. Last but not least, 80s band Atomic will be playing a set for us all to enjoy.

More details about the silent auction will come later this week.

Doors open from 7pm. Tickets are £15 per person, this is your entry into Club Baize's function room and also is a raffle entry for the raffle prizes we have on the night. If you're wanting a ticket, then get in touch with the page or get in contact with Gary on 07926587541.

Silent Auction!

Tomorrow night (10/02), on the anniversary of Martin's passing, friends and family of his will be coming together in celebration of his life and having an 80s night.

80s music will be on all night as well as having Atomic playing a couple of sets as well. Tickets purchased will be put into a raffle which will be drawn on the night and there will also be a silent auction also. Here are the items on offer so far:

Lukaku Man Utd shirt.
Signed SUFC shirt 2017/2018.
Signed SUFC ball 2002/2003.
Signed Man Utd shirt.
Signed Kell Brook boxing gloves.

We also may have more SUFC stuff as well as a signed Barnsley shirt.

We’d just like to say a big big thank you to everyone who played, donated, supported, came and made the Martin Bembridge Memorial Day such a fantastic occasion and one we’ll never forget.

The game was a spectacle to say the least, a shout-out on Talk Sport, some questionable amount of players on the pitch, some quality goals all to end up being decided on a shout-out. With it finely poised at 6-5, Mosborough Whites missed their sudden death penalty and the Mosborough Dads & Guests won the inaugural first game of the Memorial Day.

There were a whole host of raffle and auction prizes on offer so once again a big thank you to everyone who donated those, bought raffle tickets, bidded and bought the auction prizes.

We have so many people to thank but we’d be here all day. Harry and Diane would like to pass on their thanks to everyone for making the day so special and they can’t wait to make it bigger and better next year!

The total raised from the day has now been totalled up and it’s an incredible amount, all which will be donated to Mosborough Football Club.

In total, the Martin Bembridge Memorial Day raised £2,836.45!

Raffle and Auction Prizes!

Ahead of our big Memorial Day in memory of Martin Bembridge on Saturday 24th June 2023, here’s your chance to find out what prizes are on offer in our raffle, which you can buy tickets for throughout the day with the winning tickets called throughout the evening upstairs in the Mosborough Miners Function room. And also our auction, which will be taking place at some point during the evening where there are some great items on offer!

For the raffle, we have a huge amount of prizes such as... an air fryer worth £200, a mortgage valuation worth £195, a free MOT @ Bridgehouse Garage, a kids party at Goals, a Palmer School of Excellence pass for one week, a 4 ball for Barlborough Golf Course, Josh Windass + Sander Berge commentary prints from the season just gone, a £30 salon voucher and a lot more!

Our auction has some special things on offer for you to try and win on the night also! Two individual, match worn Harry Maguire boots that were worn during the 2022 Qatar World Cup! A replica Arsenal shirt signed by former England and Arsenal legend Ian Wright! Two tickets for a night with former Newcastle manager Kevin Keegan. A signed Sheffield United shirt from the 2021/22 season. Two fourballs, one at Hillsborough Golf Club and the other at Rotherham Golf Club. And a signed Mosborough Shirt, with the signatures of every single player who is playing in the Mosborough Whites v Mosborough Dads + others match!

If you do win one of the items on the auction, we would prefer the money in cash on the night. However, we know this can be difficult for some people. If you can’t bring cash then there will be other ways for you to pay for the item you win. Some of the prizes do already have starting bids so they won’t be going cheap! If anyone who can’t make it on the evening would like to bid for a chance to win one, drop the page a message👍🏻

Finally, we have mentioned before there will be a pizza and ice cream van for people to get something to eat during and after the game. These both accept card and cash and will both be there from around 2pm onwards. We’ve attached the menu for the pizza van below so you can already have a think on what you’d like!

We’re less than 48 hours away from the Martin Bembridge Memorial Day. Everyone involved can’t wait for what we’re all sure will be an incredibly special day for a wonderful man. We really hope you can join us and help us make it a really unforgettable day❤️🤍

ONE WEEK TO GO!

The Martin Bembridge Memorial Day is fast approaching! At Mosborough Miners Welfare next Saturday (24th June 2023) we’re really looking forward to a day of events, prizes but more importantly, celebrating the life of Martin Nicholas Bembridge.

At 3pm, the team Martin was assistant manager at, Mosborough Whites, will be playing against some of the dads from the Mosborough Football Club junior section who were friends of Martin, in his memory.

During the game, a raffle will be going round for all in attendance to get involved with. With raffle prizes varying from a free MOT, a free 5 a side pitch, to beers and wines and a whole lot more!

There will also be a Pizza/Shawarma and Ice Cream van pitch side from around 3:30/4pm should you want to enjoy the day with a bite to eat as well!

Following the game, which should be done just before 5pm, there is a two hour window for players to get something to eat, get a shower after the game and get their breath back more than anything! People in attendance can go back into the Mosborough Miners Welfare for a drink or two, but everyone is encouraged to be back in the function room of Mosborough Miners a bit later on.

From 7pm, there will be a DJ on, you will have more opportunities to by raffle tickets where the winning tickets will be announced, have a drink and also, a charity auction will be taking place.

We have prizes such as Harry Maguire’s match worn boots from the 2022 World Cup. A signed Iain Wright shirt. Tickets to a night with Kevin Keegan and a few more things on offer, you’ll have to come to find out what they are!

All the money raised from the day, such as the money the players are paying to play, the raffle tickets, money from the auction prizes will all be donated to Mosborough Football Club is as Harry and Diane Bembridge’s wishes. Where that money, will go towards supporting local young people’s growth, development and opportunities in the area which was a massive aspiration for Martin.

We all can’t wait and really hope you can join us for what will be an absolutely brilliant occasion, where we can all enjoy, celebrate and remember a brilliant man who lived life fully and was loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing him❤️🤍

On Saturday 24th June 2023, a Memorial Day will be held at Mosbrough Miners Welfare to celebrate the life of Martin Nicholas Bembridge.

At 3pm Mosborough Whites will play against dads from the junior section of Mosborough FC, many of whom were good friends of Martin.

This will be followed by a race night, charity auction (including sporting memorabilia) and raffle. This will take place upstairs in the Mosbrough Miners Welfare Club at 7pm.

All proceeds will go towards Mosborough FC to support young peoples’ football opportunities and development in the local area.

We hope you can join us, in what promises to be a fantastic occasion, celebrating a life lived to the full.
