The Friends of Glen Howe Park is a voluntary group that aims to preserve the history of the park whilst seeking to maintain and improve some of the features of this amazing secret gem of Sheffield.

Had a great time at our volunteer morning today, meeting up, having a chat, drinks and cakes. Oh yes, and we actually got quite a bit of work done, cutting back and tidying up. You can now see the waterfall again 😀.
If you fancy joining our volunteer group, we have a meeting on the 1st Tuesday of each month and a volunteer day (2hs) on the 2nd Saturday of each month (usually). Get in touch if you want to find out more.

It is our Open Day on Sunday from 11.30am to 2.30pm. Please come along - activities are free, you can buy a tombola ticket to help support the garden or make a donation for refreshments that will go to the Sheffield Children's Hospital NHS and Charity. There is a lion-based theme and we are hoping for a roaring success.

We’ll be working up in Glen Howe Park again this Saturday morning. Weeding, tidying up the gardens near the pond and spreading wood chippings on the paths. Nothing too strenuous and the forecast is looking good. Everyone welcome to join us … oh, and did I mention that there’ll be homemade biscuits ?! 😋🌼🪏
