Our Founder & Director Natasha recently embarked on the final stage of her Churchill Fellowship where she travelled to Canada to research best practice and innovation in dementia care.

Her report is due to be published later this year alongside a set of key recommendations from her studies and experiences from her travels.

Stay tuned for more! 🇨🇦

We are thrilled to announce that we are now offering Positive Approach to Care® (PAC) Training.

Positive Approach to Care® (PAC), developed by Teepa Snow, is an evidence informed approach to dementia care that helps care professionals, organisations and families better understand changes in the brain and adapt their support accordingly.

PAC® focuses on:

⭐️ Understanding how dementia affects the brain, abilities and behaviour.

⭐️ Recognising retained strengths and abilities rather than focusing solely on losses.

⭐️ Using effective communication techniques that reduce distress and improve connection.

⭐️ Adapting care approaches to match an individual’s changing needs.

⭐️ Supporting positive interactions that promote dignity, independence and wellbeing.

⭐️ Creating safer, more compassionate and person-centred care environments.

The approach combines practical skills, hands on learning and neuroscience based
understanding to help carers respond with confidence, empathy and effectiveness

PAC helps care teams, organisations and families understand how dementia changes the brain and how to adapt communication, support and care practices to meet a person’s changing abilities.

Training is tailored to the needs of care homes, home care providers, healthcare teams and family carers, with ongoing coaching and consultancy available to support sustainable improvements in practice or at home.
