After impressing during pre-season with our Women’s team, Rachel Iliya is determined to return from Nigeria to the UK in 2026 to continue her journey with the Eagles.

Rachel has earned a place at university in Leeds, an exciting opportunity that will allow her to continue both her education and her rugby league ambitions. Alongside her studies, she is hoping to return to represent the Eagles this year.

To make this possible, Rachel is seeking support to help cover the costs of travelling back to the UK and settling in while she pursues her studies and continues playing for the club. Any donation, big or small, would make a huge difference in helping her achieve her goals, both on and off the pitch.

She has already raised 33% of her target, but any help you can show her would be greatly appreciated.

🎉 We are excited to announce that from Monday 8th June, we will be working in partnership with Leisure United to deliver rugby league and multi-sports sessions across Sheffield! 🏉

Our sessions are open to all children from KS1 right through to our SEND U16s provision, creating fun and inclusive sporting opportunities for all 🙌

On Monday, our coaches went over to Thomas Rotherham College to deliver some wheelchair rugby league sessions to their Y12 and Y13 sports students 🏉 ♿️

These sessions supported their studies by exploring the barries to participation in sport, while also giving students the chance to experience a range of coaching styles in action.

A great day of learning, inclusion, and hands-on experience for everyone involved!
