TEMPORARY 4 DAY CLOSURE OF FOX GLEN PARK.
We knew this would happen at some point.
The park will be closed from Tuesday12th to Friday 15th August, next week. It will reopen at the end of the working day on Friday 15th.
This is to allow some important investigation work into a blocked culvert that runs beneath the play area (during periods of prolonged and heavy rainfall this has been known to cause flooding to residential properties on Woodroyd Road, which has only been prevented in recent years through the use of expensive temporary pumping measures).
It is unfortunate that this has to happen during the school holidays, but the initial investigation needs to be done during a period of drier weather. We are asking for reassurance that the park will be returned to its current state.
