Share Your Sheffield Story

Mount Move invites Sheffield residents to a special community storytelling event where real stories from our city can be shared and preserved for future generations.

We are especially looking for older adults aged 45+ who would like to share their life experiences and memories of Sheffield.

Story contributors aged 45+ will receive a £100 voucher as appreciation for their time if they attend both sessions:

14th March 2026 – First Story Session
2ndMay 2026 – Community Showcase

Venue: The Circle33 Rockingham LnSheffield City CentreS1 4FW

Time: 1:00 PM

This is a friendly community event where:• Older adults share their stories• Young people learn storytelling and interview skills• Sheffield’s heritage and experiences are preserved

Other attendees will receive a Certificate of Participation.

Mountmove has been selected for the South Yorkshire Innovation Programme (SYIP), led by Sheffield Hallam University, the University of Sheffield and Barnsley MBC.

This gives us expert support and £3 million-backed resources to fast-track our next big idea - an accessible solution to enable business startups and entrepreneurs to use AI effectively for success-critical activities.

Work has already started, and our first product from the programme will drop soon.

We were out in the Sheffield community yesterday speaking to young people about the future of work and how to be ready for the new AI era.

Thanks to Opportunity Sheffield - Sheffield City Council for the invite. We were able to enrol about 18 young adults on our 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐋𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝟐 programme.

We are thrilled to share an inspiring video testimony from Claire Pessu, one of our recent FutureView Data Literacy Programme graduates!

In just two weeks after completing the programme, she leveraged her newfound skills in data analysis, visualisation, and strategic decision-making to secure a project management role.
