Stannington Pavilion Renewal Committee

01/11/2025

Hello, you may have noticed a new container behind Stannington Library... We understand this is to provide temporary storage whilst the Pavilion is rebuilt (https://planningapps.sheffield.gov.uk/online-applications/caseDetails.do?action=dispatch&keyVal=STUG3INYMYK00&caseType=Application).

Although details and timescales have yet to be confirmed, the park has certainly needed a new pavilion for a long time, so this is all looking hopeful.

All this is unrelated to the recycling area, we don't know whether or not that will be coming back. The area is protected by CCTV to deter fly tipping.

Sheffield City Council are trying to rebuild the Pavilion!

𝑰𝑭 funding and planning are both approved, a new larger facility would remain home to Council-run youth provision and (hopefully) new and expanded youth/sports services 𝐚𝐧𝐝 be available to the community.

The drawing shows an impression of a similar project.
