It's with great sadness that I have to let you know that Carol Wraight, who ran Care 4 Christmas for many years, has died after a very short illness. She will be greatly missed. Janet

Hi everyone. This is a request for help. On Boxing Day one of our volunteers very kindly took some photos for us, but we forgot to make a note of who it was. Oops!! If you have these photos on your phone, would you please let us know, and we will let you know where to send them.

My apologies for the delay in posting this, but like a lot of other folk I've had a dreadful cold and been out of action for a while. We really would like to say how very grateful we are to all the friends who volunteered with us to help make Care 4 Christmas a great success again this year. We had more guests on both days - Christmas Day and Boxing Day - than we have ever had before, but everyone managed to find a seat and enjoy their meal. It was such a pleasure to meet Father Christmas in his splendid suit too.

Again, thank you everyone for all your help and support. I'm sure we'll be doing it all again in a year's time!! Janet and Dottie, Care 4 Christmas on Sheppey

Thank you so much to all the friends who have already contacted us to volunteer on Christmas Day and Boxing Day. We really appreciate your time and your enthusiasm.

Thanks also to Beth and her colleagues at M91 Civils Construction Ltd for their generous support. We are very grateful.

As last year, the Salvation Army are arranging for Christmas hampers, so do please contact them if you need to.

Well, after all the preparation, so quickly it's all over!! We would like to offer a huge 'THANK YOU' to all our volunteers. Without you, Care 4 Christmas would just not be possible. Our guests all thoroughly enjoyed themselves on both Christmas Day and Boxing Day - you did a great job of looking after all their needs.

Thank you too for all the donations we received, both towards the cost of Christmas Day and Boxing Day celebrations, and for filling the hampers we were able to distribute. You made Christmas possible for families who otherwise would have had nothing. THANK YOU.

We really appreciate all you folk do to help us make Christmas happy for so many people. Thank you, again.
