It was an absolute honour to be part of the Kent Charity Awards 2026 tonight. Out of 110 applications we were joined 35 finalists, our category was the Best Use of Volunteers. The Community Cupboard took the win in our category but we are so proud to be in the final four and thank our amazing volunteers for everything they do for us.
Well done to all the winners this evening, what a great night.

📚💛 Memory Day ! 💛📚

Today we turned the page to a fantastic day of books, laughter and friendship! 📖✨

We put our thinking caps on with some fun book-themed quizzes and set off on a scavenger hunt to find some of our favourite book titles. 🔎📚 There was plenty of teamwork, a few giggles and lots of helping each other along the way — because everything is better when friends do it together! 🥰

Then it was time to grab the microphone and let our voices be heard! 🎤 Well… let’s just say our snug definitely wasn’t short of BIG personalities or LOUD voices! 😂

After a delicious pork roast and a scrumptious lemon drizzle, we carried on the fun with some brain-teasing cognitive games.

A day filled with good books, great friends and even better memories — now that’s a story worth telling! ❤️📖

❤️ A Heartfelt Day in the Snug ❤️

Today in the Snug was one of those lovely days that reminds us how special it is to simply spend time together. There was plenty of friendship, laughter, conversation and moments of genuine connection shared throughout the day.

As we celebrated National Letter Day, we took the time to write replies to letters we had received. It was wonderful to see everyone putting their thoughts into words and sharing their feelings. The replies were truly lovely and brought a real sense of warmth to the room. 💌

We then enjoyed some anagrams and had conversations about the many different ways we communicate with the people who mean the most to us. We shared stories, ideas and plenty of smiles along the way. ❤️

Of course, there was also time for a little fun with a game of Hangman, which brought lots of laughter and friendly competition.

We enjoyed tea, coffee and biscuits together in the morning, followed by a delicious lunch of chicken in tomato sauce and vegetables. The strawberry cheesecake afterwards was a real treat and very much enjoyed! 🍓🍰

As the day came to an end, we settled down with puzzles and more wonderful conversations with friends.

It wasn't just the activities that made today special — it was the company, the kindness, the laughter and the feeling of being together. These simple moments shared with friends are often the ones that mean the most. ❤️

🌟 Wednesday at Infinity — what a lovely day! 🌟
What a fabulous Wednesday we’ve had at Infinity! 💜
☕ This morning was our monthly Friendly Faces of Kent coffee morning, and the room was full of chatter, smiles and plenty of laughter. Our music quiz was a big hit, with everyone getting involved and having lots of fun! 🎶🧠
A huge thank you to Jodie from Squiggle, who gave us a really interesting and informative talk about wills, trusts and lasting powers of attorney — some very useful information to help us plan for the future.
We were also delighted to welcome Linda, who chatted to us about blood pressure and the fantastic wellbeing support available. 💕🩺
🎂 And of course, we must wish Helen a very happy birthday for Saturday! We hope you have a wonderful day celebrating! 🥳🎈
This afternoon it was time to get competitive with our Egg Pong competition! 🥚🏓😂
🏆 A huge well done to Rose, who took first place, closely followed by Pat in second and Tiny in third! Fantastic effort, everyone!
It rounded off the day with some gentle exercise, plenty of giggles and lots of smiles — the perfect way to finish a wonderful day at Infinity. 💜

🌟 Tuesday at Infinity… and what a fantastic day! 🌟
Today was packed with laughter, creativity, music and plenty of wonderful moments. 💜
✉️ To celebrate World Letter Writing Day, the group were challenged to write a letter to their younger selves. What a brilliant activity! We had some funny, heartwarming and wonderfully cheeky letters, which sparked lots of conversation, giggles and imagination. There were certainly a few stories that had us smiling! 😄💌
🎶 This afternoon, Hannah got everyone tapping their toes with Rock Music Musical Bingo! A fantastic afternoon of music, fun and friendly competition. A huge well done to Sue for taking home the win! 🏆🎵
🎂 And finally, we’d like to wish our lovely Jean a very Happy Birthday! 🥳🎈 We hope you’ve had a truly wonderful day, Jean, with lots of smiles and celebrations from everyone here at Infinity. ❤️

Are you struggling to make your food budget stretch? We’re here to help — not just with meals, but with the skills and confidence to make your food budget go further. 🥘💷

Through funding provided by the UK Government through the Crisis and Resilience Fund (CRF), Age UK Sheppey is offering support to help you:

🍽️ Receive 3 weeks of free meal deliveries
💰 Make the most of your food budget
📝 Plan affordable meals
🛒 Shop with more confidence
🏷️ Compare supermarket prices
♻️ Reduce food waste
👩‍🍳 Build confidence with simple, healthy cooking
❤️ Better manage your own food needs

As part of the programme, we will work with you one-to-one in your home to understand what you’re struggling with and provide practical support with budgeting, meal planning, shopping and cooking.

📞 After the 3 weeks, we’ll arrange a follow-up phone call to see how you’re getting on and, where appropriate, signpost you to other services that may be able to help.
