A 40-mile clockwise circumnavigation of the Isle of Sheppey in Kent, open to all classes of dinghy, catamaran and sailboard. The Island Race has been established since 1959 as an endurance event. With sea, river & estuary sailing with tidal conditions, this is a real test of seamanship that is an accessible challenge to all.

This year's IOS Round the Island Race open to sailing dinghies, catamarans & sailboards will be held on Sunday 7th September - a clockwise circumnavigation of Kent's Isle Of Sheppey. Entries received by 31st August are only £50 (which include a SailRacer GPS tracker) , which rises to £100 for entries after that date (which don't include tracker). Free round-the-cans racing on Saturday. Please note: entries will only be accepted online up until 8am on the morning of the Island Race this year (this is a change to previous years, when entry up until the last start was possible).
