We will be introducing our team members over the next few days so you know who we are, what we can contribute and why we decided to support the Association. To get going, we would love to introduce our 'Environmental Officer', Hannah McDonnell, who will be advising and supporting all things sustainable. Please do give her a warm welcome :-)

Throughout Hannah's career she has worked in diverse conservation environments initially within non-profit organisations specialising in environmental education to developing sustainable business models and destination management in Portugal. Her pioneering business, Yurt Holiday Portugal, was developed 15 years ago, a sustainable business model with the objective to stimulate positive environmental engagement and responsible practices.

Currently at the final stage of her MSc in Responsible Tourism her report focuses on Responsible Glamping practices and systems to increase the Industry's engagement with triple bottom line sustainability.

"I am delighted to have the opportunity to contribute to the Glamping Association regarding sustainable practice, Glamping in Portugal and environmental legislation. My mission is to increasing member engagement and capacity to contribute to a sustainable Glamping Industry together".

In light of the glamping industry's growth and development over recent years and the increasing need for a guiding body, The Glamping Association has recently undergone a reformation. Several new Committee Members have joined, all of whom work directly in glamping businesses and possess the necessary experience and passion to represent our industry.

The TGA team is as follows:

Robert Farrow - Chairman
Adrian Mounter - Secretary
Daniel Axe - Membership Secretary
Kate Morel - Public Relations
Sacha Macey - Accommodations
Hannah McDonnell - Environment
Jenna Turnham - Site Operations

The position for Health & Safety Officer remains available and interested candidates should contact the Association directly via the contact page on the website.

The Association will represent, consolidate, lobby on behalf of, instill responsibility in, and support all glamping operatives and related businesses. The Glamping Association will also liaise with other recognised industry and tourism bodies, if you represent such an organisation please get in touch.

If you are a site operator or supplier to the Industry please join, there are no Membership fees initially.

This is a very exciting development for our industry, we hope that you will support us.

The Association is the trade body for the glamping industry. The glamping Association is run for glampers by glampers. We represent glamping sites across the UK. The Glamping Association is a source of information for both the industry and customers.
