We're truly honoured to welcome Lady Anne Glenconner to this year's festival — lady-in-waiting to Princess Margaret for over thirty years, and a woman with one of the most remarkable vantage points on royal and aristocratic life of the last century.

In Trunks & Tiaras, she turns that same sharp, funny eye on her own adventures — sailing boats, health spa mishaps, packing tiaras for state visits, and nearly a century of travel to grand houses, embassies, and idyllic beaches alike. The Spectator called it "funny, gossipy and riveting" — honestly, we can't think of a better description.

She'll be in conversation with Suzy Feay (), friend of the festival who's joined us on stage several times before — a brilliant pairing.

THE BROCHURE HAS LANDED!

There's nothing quite like unboxing the festival brochure every year, and 2026's did not disappoint — the whole team's genuinely buzzing about this one.

This year's stunning cover — and poster! — comes courtesy of Emily Maude ( ), a Brighton-based artist and illustrator with a serious eye for colour, branding, and beautiful design. The artwork features a lustre-ware pink jug painted with a portrait of Jane Austen — and here's a fun fact some of you might not know: Jane actually had her own Sevenoaks connections! She visited her great-uncle Francis at his home on Sevenoaks High Street as a young girl, and her family's roots run deep through this part of Kent. A fitting face for our cover, then, and it really does capture the joy of books and reading beautifully.

Brochures are available now at our partners, , Sevenoaks Bookshop, and will be popping up at selected retailers around town soon too.

Pick one up for your handy guide to everything happening this festival!
