Yesterday, 2 of our cadets and our CO joined with cadets and staff from Maidstone Sea Cadets for day 1 of 2 Paddlesport Instructor course at Mote Park Watersports Centre, Maidstone.

The day started with a paddle skills assessment followed by instruction and micro coaching sessions. End of the day we were assessed jn several different rescue techniques.

Weather was gorgeous, water temperature was not when it came to the rescues.

This is part of our long term plan to enable and enhance a broader range of the Sea Cadet experience within the unit.

Wish us luck for day 2 next weekend.
