Today is World Gratitude Day, a great opportunity to express the endless appreciation we have for everyone who supports Sevenoaks Welcomes Refugees⭐️
To our volunteers, thank you for your patience, kindness and positive attitudes. Our volunteers are the true foundation of SWR, running (or rowing!) fundraisers, organising SWR stalls, completing all the behind-the-scenes admin, and volunteering within our brilliant refugee community in the Sevenoaks District. You are all stars, and thank you for that!
To our supporters, donating money, toys, sofas, bikes, you name it! Your offers to donate and support our vital work are true acts of kindness, and we are eternally grateful for it⭐️
And finally, to our refugee community — thank you for sharing your stories, your cultures, your experiences, and for bringing so much warmth and joy to our community. We are incredibly proud to stand alongside you and support you as you build your lives here in the Sevenoaks District💛
Every act of kindness, no matter how big or small, helps make our community a more welcoming place. We couldn’t do what we do without you.
Thank you to everyone who helps make Sevenoaks a place where refugees feel welcomed, supported and at home.
Happy World Gratitude Day! ⭐️
