Sevenoaks Lions Club….No, we’re not a rugby charity or an animal charity we’re a Community Service charity that gives all funds raised back to our community.

Hello, my name is Diana and I’m the current President of Sevenoaks Lions Club 🦁, a club with over 50 years of community service. I wanted to say “Hi” and bust a few myths…

My aim this year is to build collaboration with the community, listen and nurture new ideas as well as have fun while achieving a shared goal of supporting our community… where there’s a need there’s a Lion 🦁

So, if you have a need in the community, want to collaborate on a project or would like to volunteer with us, please get in touch..

A message from our president…

To everyone involved in our 34th Heavy Horse and Rural Craft Show 2026…

I would like to thank you all for your hard work, time, commitment and continued support in putting together this much loved show.

Each year presents us with highs and lows but together, working as a team we overcome them, present a united front and produce a show loved by so many.

Sadly our horse numbers were considerably down due to circumstances beyond our and the horse owners control and our footfall a little lower but our arena and marquee welcomed old and new local crafters and our District Council Chairperson was truly amazed at how our show has evolved over the years.

It is impossible to to list everyone involved and we as Sevenoaks Lions rely on the collaboration with our community to raise funds at this event to give back to those less fortunate than ourselves.. the essence of why we work so hard. Thank you.

So please take my heartfelt thanks for yourselves and pass on my thanks to anyone you know who was there… I tried to speak and thank as many people as possible on my walk round .. groups, horse owners, stall holders and visitors and the general response was positive and uplifting.

So.. thank you, thank you, thank you

Set up is complete, the countdown to opening is on!

Here’s a little sneak peak into what’s happening in the arena tomorrow and our admission prices. Cash and card are accepted, however please bear in mind we are in the middle of a field, in the middle of nowhere and signal to our card readers can be sketchy!

As well as our wonderful arena events we have a marquee and outside pitches full of wonderful stalls for you to browse… dare we mention the C word… but maybe a head start on present shopping?!

Behind the marquee you’ll find our ploughing field and horsemanship arena which will also have displays throughout the day, something around every corner!

Us lions have been out in force doing a sun dance to bring nice weather for tomorrow but do please come prepared for any weather… this is the UK on September after all!

Just a little reminder of some of the things to be aware of before the show:
BBQs, camping stoves and open flames are not permitted on site.
Please wear suitable, sturdy footwear for uneven or grassy ground.
Please ensure you have adequate drinking water with you. Drinks will be available to purchase at the event.
Please bring and regularly apply sun cream. A hat and sunglasses are also recommended.
Please be aware that there is limited/no shade available on the field. Plan accordingly and take breaks from direct sunlight when needed.
Smoking is not permitted on the event field.
Due to the outdoor setting and potential dry conditions, please take extra care to prevent fires. Do not bring or use any naked flames.
Horses will be present in or around the event area. Please keep a safe distance, avoid sudden movements or loud noises, and follow any instructions from event staff.
All dogs must be kept on leads at all times and under control. Please be particularly mindful around horses.

Our Easter competition is back once again! Visit any of the mentioned cafes/pubs in the lead up to Easter and buy a raffle ticket for your chance to win a giant Easter egg like the one pictured.

Thanks once again to our local establishments for supporting us by housing our eggs and selling off raffle tickets. All profits returning to our local community
