🏡 From resident panels and policy reviews to helping improve services, Iain Walters has been making a difference at West Kent for years. Now, he's taking that experience to our Board as our new Resident Board Member.

👋 We're delighted to welcome Iain, whose involvement in resident inspections, scrutiny and service improvement has helped ensure resident voices influence decisions across West Kent.

💬 As Iain says: "Residents bring knowledge and experience that no report, set of figures, trend or statistic can fully capture. Their experiences should help shape the decisions that affect our homes and communities. That belief is one of the reasons I’m proud to be joining the Board and excited about the opportunity to contribute in a new way. 🏆 Award-winning resident involvement in action.

Our Grounds Maintenance Resident Inspector Project has won the Partnership category at this year's Kent Housing Group Excellence Awards!

It's a fantastic recognition of what can be achieved when residents and West Kent work together, and this award belongs as much to our resident inspectors as it does our Resident Involvement team. 💙

Since 2023, 62 resident inspectors have helped us keep a closer eye on grounds maintenance in their communities, sharing what's working well and highlighting issues that need attention. Together, they've submitted more than 240 surveys, helping to improve the service and shape decision-making.

👏 A huge thank you to every resident inspector who has taken the time to get involved.

🎉 Celebrating 10 years of Beeches and Copperfields!
