💙A big thank you to our local community💙

Over the next few days, we’ll be celebrating some of the wonderful local schools and churches who have donated to Sevenoaks Larder over the Harvest period.

First up, a huge thank you to Riverhead and Amherst for their incredibly generous donation! As you can see, we received lots of lovely food, which will make a real difference.

We’re so grateful for your kindness and support!

Keep an eye out over the next few days as we share more thank yous to our amazing local community. 💙

We’re making some changes and we’d love your feedback! 💬

We’re looking at how we can improve our website and social media, and we’d really value your thoughts.

Our survey takes less than 5 minutes to complete, and your feedback will help us make sure we’re sharing the information and content our community actually wants to see.

🙏 We’d be so grateful if you could take a few minutes to fill it out!

Can you help?💪🚗
Hi everyone

As you may know we’ve spent the last two weeks refurbishing our space at Hope Church. We’ve nearly finished and as you can see it looks amazing!

To finish the job we need help to remove some large plywood boards from Hope Church to the local tip *TODAY*

If you have either (i) a van that we can use to transport the boards or (ii) an electric saw that we can use to cut up the boards and put them into a car- then please let us know.

You can contact us by email [email protected] or call on 07747 133750.

We are looking for some volunteers to help us on Monday mornings and Wednesday evenings!🚗💙✨

1. Collecting Supermarket Donations.

We are looking for volunteers to join the team that collects excess food/donations from local supermarkets and brings them back to Hope Church.

We have a specific vacancy for someone to help pick up the excess food/donations from M&S and Tesco in Sevenoaks on a Wednesday evening (approx. 8-8.30 PM) and bring it back to Hope Church and put it away in the store room/freezer there.

We collect donated food from various local supermarkets and are also looking for volunteers who might prefer to collect donations from them on other days of week on an ad hoc basis eg to cover for colleagues when they are not available.

2. Monday Morning Set Up.

We operate the foodbank from a room at Hope Church and have a team that helps set things up first thing on a Monday morning. We’re looking for one or two volunteers who can help do this. The time commitment is quite small - approximately 20 minutes - but the work is quite physical as you will be moving and setting up tables.

☀️🌍 We were delighted to welcome a very special visitor to Sevenoaks Larder yesterday – Alejandra Ranaudo.

While visiting family in Sevenoaks, Alejandra took time to visit us as part of her mission during her year as Miss International US Virgin Islands: raising awareness of food banks in every destination she visits around the world.

From everyone at Sevenoaks Larder, we wish Alejandra the very best of luck as she heads to Japan for her next competition. 🇯🇵❤️
