Supporting unpaid Carers in Wiltshire - Our Commitment

We are saddened to hear the news of the closure of Carer Support Wiltshire. We recognise the contribution they have made in supporting unpaid Carers across Wiltshire, and we know this announcement will be upsetting and unsettling for many Carers, families, staff, volunteers and partners.

Unpaid Carers play an essential role in our communities, and any loss of support services is felt keenly. We want Carers across Wiltshire to know that they are not alone during this time and that support remains available.

Carers Together Wiltshire continues to remain open to all unpaid Carers across the county. This includes our Carer Cafés, which are continuing as normal and provide welcoming, safe spaces for Carers to connect and receive support. You can find details of our Carer Cafés on our website. https://carerstogetherwiltshire.org.uk/events

We are committed to standing alongside Carers and ensuring they continue to have access to the help and understanding they deserve. Anyone who is worried about what this change means for them is encouraged to get in touch with us to find out how we can help.

We would like to acknowledge the dedication shown by the team at Carer Support Wiltshire, and the impact their work has had on so many Carers over the years.

Our message to Carers is simple: support is still here, and you do not have to face this alone.

It's Carers Rights Day!

💙 🌟 It’s Carers Rights Day 2025!

This year’s theme is 'Know your rights, use your rights.'

Many people providing unpaid care don’t realise they are Carers and may miss out on rights, support and benefits designed to help them.

At Carers Together Wiltshire we’re here for you:
• Helping you recognise yourself as a Carer and understand what you’re entitled to
• Guiding you to make the most of your rights, whether that’s in health, social care, work or education
• Offering one-to-one support, advice and social groups so you don’t have to face it all alone

If you’re caring for someone, or think you might be, take a moment today to ask: Do I know my rights? Am I using them?

Don’t forget to join us at our Carers Rights Day Information Fair this Friday 21st November, 10am–2pm at St John's Parish Centre, Trowbridge, to meet our team and find out more about the support available.
