Hearing feedback like this is exactly why we do what we do đź’ś

“I loved the practical demonstrations and evidence-based information. The course helped me feel informed, confident, and much more prepared for labour and birth.”

Feeling prepared for birth isn’t about knowing everything in advance - it’s about feeling informed, supported, and confident in your choices.

Our antenatal sessions are designed to combine practical skills with evidence-based information, helping parents feel more ready for labour, birth, and the transition into parenthood.

Thank you to everyone who shares their experiences with us!

💬 Have you attended one of our sessions? We’d love to hear what helped you most.

If you’ve been feeling touched out, overwhelmed, or mentally exhausted lately — this might be why 🤍

Motherhood isn’t just physically tiring.
Your mind is carrying so much all day, every day.

The constant remembering.
The planning ahead.
The mental checklist running in the background all day long.

Feeds, naps, nursery bags, appointments, snacks, medicines, favourite cups, extra clothes, bedtime routines…

Even when you finally sit down, your mind is still carrying it all, and so much of it goes unseen.

Remember - sometimes lightening the load looks like:

✨ Letting someone else take over without explaining everything first
✨ Accepting help when it’s offered
✨ Letting go of doing everything perfectly
✨ Taking 10 minutes for yourself without guilt
✨ Saying “today feels hard” and accepting that it’s OK to feel that way sometimes

You deserve support too.
You deserve rest too.
And you matter outside of everything you do for everyone else 🤍

Today is World Maternal Mental Health Day.

This year marks 10 years of Maternal Mental Health Awareness Week - and 10 years of Nurture the Borders.

We’re joining voices across the world today to raise awareness and break the stigma around maternal mental health.

Because the reality is, 1 in 4 women experience a mental health difficulty during pregnancy or early parenthood.

We see what that looks like here in the Borders - parents feeling overwhelmed, isolated, or struggling quietly while trying to care for their baby.

And we know the difference support can make.

Being met early.
Being listened to without judgement.
Having someone walk alongside you, at your pace.

For the past 10 years, we’ve been here to make sure parents don’t have to face this alone.

If you’re struggling, you can reach out to us.
If you know someone who might be, share this with them.
If you want to support our work, you can donate, fundraise, or simply help us spread the word so more families know we’re here.

It’s a privilege to support mothers and families across the Borders.

A lovely reflection from one of our previous service users đź’ś

At NTB, we offer creative classes called CALM - these are gentle, supportive sessions where people that have been referred to our services can explore art, creativity, and simply have the time and space to be.

Hearing how those small moments can grow into something life-changing means everything to us 🌱

If you are interested in hearing more about the services we provide, feel free to send us an email or a DM. We are always happy to assist.
