We are incredibly proud to be one of the seven charities selected to receive funding from the 1001 Critical Days Foundation. 💙

We feel honoured to be alongside such inspiring organisations, all working towards the shared goal of giving every baby the very best start in life.

A huge thank you to the 1001 Critical Days Foundation for believing in our vision. We can’t wait to share more about what this funding will make possible for local families over the coming months.

🎬 Behind the scenes...

For the past 10 years, Nurture the Borders has supported women and families across the Scottish Borders throughout pregnancy, the postpartum period and early parenthood.

This week, we've been behind the camera filming our 10-year anniversary documentary. It has been an honour to hear so many stories of strength, hope, resilience and the life-changing impact that compassionate support can have when it's needed most.

This film is a celebration of every family who has been part of our community over the last decade, and of the volunteers, staff and supporters who have helped make that journey possible.

We can't wait to share it with you.

Hot weather and sleepless nights can leave us feeling more than just tired. 💤

When we don't get enough sleep, it can be harder to concentrate, manage stress and regulate our emotions.

The good news?... Small changes to your evening routine can make a real difference.

If you're in the perinatal or postpartum period, disrupted sleep is often part of caring for a new baby. Be kind to yourself and focus on what helps you feel as rested and supported as you can.

If you're finding that the lack of sleep or the challenges of early parenthood are affecting your mental health, please remember you don't have to go through it alon.

Our service is here to support you throughout pregnancy and after your baby is born, so don't hesitate to reach out if you need us.

🌸 Have you heard of the fourth trimester?

While pregnancy and birth often receive a lot of attention, the first 12 weeks after birth can be one of the biggest periods of adjustment for both parent and baby.

The fourth trimester is a time of healing, learning, adapting, and getting to know one another. It can bring moments of joy, but also exhaustion, uncertainty, and challenges that many parents don't expect.

That's why preparing for postpartum is just as important as preparing for birth. Building your support network, understanding what recovery may look like, and knowing where to turn for help can make a real difference.

If you're expecting a baby, take some time to think about your postpartum plan. And if you're already in the fourth trimester, remember that it's okay to ask for support—you were never meant to do this alone. 💗

✨ Exciting News! ✨

We are delighted to have introduced a Baby Massage Class for our service users. 💗👶

Baby massage is a wonderful way to support bonding, encourage relaxation, and create special moments of connection between parent and baby. It also provides an opportunity for parents to meet others, share experiences, and enjoy some dedicated time with their little ones.
