We are registered as a charity in Scotland (SC020023) Everyone is welcome to come along and see what we have.

Our small annual membership fee - for example, just £7 for an individual, or £10 for a group of up to 25 users, helps with our increasing costs. We also charge small amounts for our salvaged materials and carry an increasing range of new art and craft supplies. We receive support from - Scottish Borders Council and East Lothian Council - and try to make the rest of our running costs through increa

sed trading. Thanks to everyone who supports us, not least our voluntary management committee and store helpers, and all the companies and individuals who donate materials.

Just to let you know that The SELKIRK Scrapstore will be closed for our Spring break
Week beginning 18th May.

The MUSSELBURGH Scrapstore will be open as normal; Tuesdays and Wednesdays 10am to 4pm, and Thursdays 2 to 5pm, so do pop up to The Fisherrow Centre if you just can’t wait.

And we’ll be back open at Selkirk from Tuesday 26th; see you then.

And we are pleased to say that we have received National Lottery Awards for All funding of £18,500 to be used over two years.
This will help us to build on our work in both social and environmental terms, and will help offset some of the worst effects of inflation. We will also be able to update our IT system, which is well out of date.

It’s time for a Saturday anyway, and usefully this coincides with

BORDERS MODERN QUILT GUILD EXHIBITION
At THE HAINING
On Friday 24th & Saturday 25TH

EVERYBODY IS VERY WELCOME AT BOTH EVENTS

We’ll mostly be indoors this time; we’ll have some bargain fabrics outside, along with the FREE table with fabric and other items we want to clear.

We have loads of good stuff in at the moment, plenty of patchwork fabric, top quality velvets and corduroy, hand woven silk/cotton mix, cotton prints and upholstery materials.
Paper-craft supplies, haberdashery, wool & yarns, tools, books, maps and patterns.
All sorts of adhesive tapes, air-drying clay & tools, lino-cut supplies, paint brushes and pens and pencils and plenty more.

The RE-Store across the way will be open too; with the quilt show at The Haining and everything that Selkirk can offer it’s a great chance to spend a day in the Borders.

All welcome; we take cash and cards, just the one card machine this time; there’s plenty of free parking and we’re only about half a mile from The Haining.

EASTER CRAFT FAIR at THE FISHERROW CENTRE
This Sunday 29th March
10am to 3pm

The Scrapstore will be open, along with dozens of local craft stalls and tables, children’s activities, refreshments, and a jumble sale in the gym hall.
Come along on Sunday and help local small businesses, have a relaxed browse and a snack, and see what goes on in your local community centre.
We’ll be there from 10am until it goes quiet, so pop in and see us and our ever-expanding range of new and salvaged art and craft supplies.

SALE DAY AT SELKIRK THIS SATURDAY 14th 10am to 2pm

It’s Sale Day at Selkirk this Saturday, an Open Day, everyone is welcome and the weather isn’t looking too bad, from four days distance anyway.
If it’s wet there’ll still be plenty to choose from, just indoors.
The Re-Store across the yard will be open too, even more reason to come along.

The FREE TABLE has expanded again; we have loads of fabric, books and craft supplies to clear after the annual New Year influx of donations.

And there’ll be loads more inside and outside too; cotton prints, patchwork pieces, excellent quality corduroy and velvet.
Haberdashery, paper-craft, tools and hardware, wool and yarns, threads, maps, books, patterns, paints and brushes and canvasses, beads and buttons and much more.

Everyone is welcome; we take cards and cash and there’s plenty of free parking.

It’s our first Saturday opening of the New Year,
This Saturday 7th February, 10am to 1pm,
At Borders Scrapstore, Unit 4 Shepherd’s Mill, Selkirk TD7 5NY

The weather is set pretty miserable just now, and we’re keen for a Saturday opening, so it’s more than likely that we’ll be indoors this time.
We’ve got plenty in stock as usual, with a half-price fabric table to clear, loads of cotton prints and patchwork cotton, and beautiful quality corduroy and velvet.
Plenty of haberdashery, paper-craft items, tools and hardware, wool and other yarns and threads, maps and books and patterns, paints and brushes and canvasses, beads and buttons – an endless supply of new and salvaged art and craft materials.

The Re-store across the yard will be open too, so it’s a great chance to get your creative new year off to a flying start.

Everyone is very welcome
We take cards and cash, and there’s plenty of free parking.

It’s the last Saturday opening of the year this weekend,
Saturday 13th, 10am to 1pm.
At Borders Scrapstore, Unit 4 Shepherd’s Mill, Selkirk TD7 5NY

This will just be a normal opening but on a Saturday, and indoors only, no tables outside this time.
It’s not a big sale day, more of a low-key day: we’ll be inside with our usual stuff, and of course our festive bits and pieces.
The Re-store across the way will be open too, so there’s an extra reason to pop along.

Everyone is welcome.
We take cash and cards and there’s plenty of free parking.

And those holiday hours once again…
Both Scrapstores, Selkirk and Fisherrow, will close at 5pm on Thursday 18th December.
Selkirk will open again at 10am on Tuesday 6th January 2026
Fisherrow will re-open a week later, 10am on Tuesday 13th January.

It’s the Annual Fisherrow Centre Christmas Craft Fair
this Sunday 10am to 3pm
All Welcome

The Scrapstore will be open, along with dozens of tables and stalls with a huge range of crafts and gifts for the festive season.
There’ll be refreshments and entertainments, everything to get you into the seasonal spirit.
This is always a good day, the Centre is bustling and full of life, so pop along on Sunday and get something different this year.

And of course, come along to the Scrapstore and have a browse through our ever-changing array of new and salvaged art and craft materials and ideas. We take cards and cash, the Centre has all the usual facilities, and there’s a decent amount of parking.

OPEN DAY, ALL WELCOME

It’s Sale Day at Selkirk this Saturday 15th, 10am to 2pm. It’s an Open Day, everyone is welcome and the weather isn’t looking too bad, better than today at least; if it is wet, we’ll still have plenty of stuff, just indoors.
The Re-Store outlet across the yard will be open too, even more reason to come along.

The FREE TABLE keeps getting bigger, we’ll have fabric, craft supplies, books and so on, stuff we just have to clear.
And lots more outside too, including more craft materials, yarns, beads and makings and everything we can pile on to the tables.
And given the time of year, there’ll be a definite seasonal air to things with our range of economical wire wreath frames, decorations, ribbons, labels, embellishments and affordable stocking-fillers.

And all our usual art and craft supplies including art pads, paint brushes, canvasses, air-drying clay and tools, lino cutting supplies, lolly sticks and hundreds of other items. Haberdashery, yarns, old tools, vintage maps; as usual, far too much to list here.

There’ll be more in by Saturday, and we’ll put out as much as we can.
We keep prices as affordable as we can, and have an eclectic range of art and craft supplies you won’t see elsewhere.
We take cards and cash, and there’s plenty of free parking, so we’ll look forward to seeing you at the weekend.
