Our small annual membership fee - for example, just £7 for an individual, or £10 for a group of up to 25 users, helps with our increasing costs. We also charge small amounts for our salvaged materials and carry an increasing range of new art and craft supplies. We receive support from - Scottish Borders Council and East Lothian Council - and try to make the rest of our running costs through increa

Summer is coming to an end, so what better way to ease into duller days and chillier nights than by visiting us on Saturday and having a browse through our unparalleled stock of salvaged and new art and craft materials,

Given a dry day (which isn’t looking too great at the time of writing) we’ll have our famous FREE table, stacked with clearance fabric, paper-craft supplies, books and mags and anything else that just has to go.
We’ll have loads more stock to clear too – fabrics, yarns, threads, beads, paper-craft materials and anything else that needs a new home.

And inside, our regular stock including adhesive tapes, glue, paint, artists’ canvasses and brushes, and a range of quality artists’ pads for sketching and watercolour painting. Air-drying clay and tools, lino-cut supplies, felt and strong webbing.
We’re full of fabric as ever, including designer patchwork fabrics; haberdashery; leather pieces, maps and decorative items.
Too much to list; come along on Saturday and we’ll put out as much as we can.
It’s only August, apologies, but we will have a selection of our C*******s supplies out so you can get making; wreath frames, ribbon, festive fabric, seasonal bits and bobs.
We keep prices as affordable as possible, and have a range of art and craft supplies you just won’t see elsewhere.
We’ll only have the one card machine on Saturday, so maybe bring a bit of cash to help keep things moving.
The Re-Store across the yard will be open too, so that’s two reasons to pop by on Saturday.

Hello Everyone,

Just to update our imminent holidays;
Both Scrapstores, Selkirk and Musselburgh, will be closed for a fortnight from this weekend, opening again at 10am on Tuesday 11th August.

Enjoy the summer, what’s left of it anyway, and we’ll see you in August.

Scrapstore Summer Holidays

It’s time for our summer break, and time for yours too we hope.
Fisherrow will be closed next week, 6th to 10th July
Selkirk will be closed for a fortnight from Monday 27th July, open again Tuesday 11th August.
It’s sort of staggered, so one of us will be open most of the summer.

It’s an Open Day, all welcome, and the weather isn’t looking too bad; there’s been lots of stuff coming in, so there’s lots of stuff to go out.

Just to let you know that The SELKIRK Scrapstore will be closed for our Spring break
Week beginning 18th May.

The MUSSELBURGH Scrapstore will be open as normal; Tuesdays and Wednesdays 10am to 4pm, and Thursdays 2 to 5pm, so do pop up to The Fisherrow Centre if you just can’t wait.

And we’ll be back open at Selkirk from Tuesday 26th; see you then.

And we are pleased to say that we have received National Lottery Awards for All funding of £18,500 to be used over two years.
This will help us to build on our work in both social and environmental terms, and will help offset some of the worst effects of inflation. We will also be able to update our IT system, which is well out of date.

It’s time for a Saturday anyway, and usefully this coincides with

BORDERS MODERN QUILT GUILD EXHIBITION
At THE HAINING
On Friday 24th & Saturday 25TH

EVERYBODY IS VERY WELCOME AT BOTH EVENTS

We’ll mostly be indoors this time; we’ll have some bargain fabrics outside, along with the FREE table with fabric and other items we want to clear.

We have loads of good stuff in at the moment, plenty of patchwork fabric, top quality velvets and corduroy, hand woven silk/cotton mix, cotton prints and upholstery materials.
Paper-craft supplies, haberdashery, wool & yarns, tools, books, maps and patterns.
All sorts of adhesive tapes, air-drying clay & tools, lino-cut supplies, paint brushes and pens and pencils and plenty more.

The RE-Store across the way will be open too; with the quilt show at The Haining and everything that Selkirk can offer it’s a great chance to spend a day in the Borders.

All welcome; we take cash and cards, just the one card machine this time; there’s plenty of free parking and we’re only about half a mile from The Haining.
See you on the 25th.
