Last night we headed to Northumberlandia for some orienteering🧭

Each group was given a map and went off to find as many points as they could, winners to be announced next week!

We’ve had a busy weekend at camp and the weather was on our side☀️

We played games, learned some knots and made knot boards, played tripod buckaroo, made chairs, got the train to Etal, ate ice cream, took part in the Ford Olympics, cooked on fires and sang songs and ate s’mores round the campfire!

This week we made beeswax wraps as part of the wrap it up uma🐝
We grated the wax, prepared the fabric and it was most the girls first time using an iron!

Last night we took on the build a beast uma, we made a dog, dragon and a trumpeting elephant🐶🐲🐘
We finished off the evening playing games!

Last night was our last week of the term. We finished off one of the clauses of the Guiding History badge and then we had a go with the soft tomahawks finishing with an in house competition!🎯

This week we had a challenge evening, everyone was split into teams and had a go at the following challenges:

⚪️ How many times can they get a ping pong ball into the bucket
🔴 Fastest to get their ball in the bucket from one side of the room to the other using the guttering
🪢 Tying as many knots in a piece of string in a minute
🦄 Drawing a unicorn from the furthest distance
🧱 Building the longest freestanding bridge

Last night we took on the trefoil challenge!
Everyone had 3 minutes to memorise the trefoil on the world badge and then recreate the trefoil using anything in the room and make it as big as they could
We then had a look at the different world centres and learnt about guiding around the world🌍

Today we joined the rest of the division to celebrate 100 years of Thinking Day!
We played friendship bingo, made cards to give each other, made friendship sticks and tea light campfires!
Then we sang some songs and renewed our promise🌍🫂
