A great part of the fun we have is bring together Christmas decorations that you don’t see here, the first two photographs are what we call Pole Mounts. If you have ever been to Disneyland or America at the holidays you will have seen them. Tucked away in the wearhouse are around 45-50 of these frames, all different shapes, sizes and no two are the same. They are the bare metal frame and working with a supplier this week we found the right grade and size of tinsel garland to go on them. 😍

The 3rd photo is a 10ft sign that says winter wonderland, trying the very first few letters to see if it fits right. Well we have success!! 🎉

Each frame will now have to be sprayed black, lit with Led lights that have an old fashioned glass bulb look to them. Then wrapped by hand with the Tinsel Garland. Using over 13 different colours of Tinsel Garland and around 12,000 light’s they will come to life. It’s a rainy day project for when we need a little break. ☕️

There will be many hours of work that go into these but we know they will be a lot of fun when they are all done. 🎄we know it doesn’t look like much now, however looking back to this post when they are all done will really show the process even a simple project like this takes and planning there future use at The Manor House

So something that most people don’t know is after Christmas each year it takes us months to get all the decorations down, and packed away. 📦

Well you have to hand clean all the ornaments and pack them away, can you image if they got dusty !! ( what would lady Grantham with her white gloves say ) 🥲 then take all the trees apart. Pack them all up. House decor next ect and we won’t even mention the task when it comes to Christmas lights. Needless to say it takes awhile. Well this morning the very last set of lights that have been on since November are coming down. 🎄

Then starts the task of it all going into storage once inventoried and labelled. 📦📦

What the public sees for 4/5 weeks takes us almost 5 months from start to finish around working normal jobs. A mass scale operation with a diehard family team to do it. ❤️

March 1st 2025- after Halloween each year it is a mad dash to get everything out and put away. The following spring, We then take time to sort everything out, test it, repairing anything that has been damaged and repack it for the upcoming year.

While many people are thinking about spring, we are working sorting out Halloween 🎃 it may only be a few days in October but it’s far before then we have to sort it all and this year stock take too.!
