🏠🐾 A New Beginning 🐾🏠

Today our homeless friend and his two dogs moved into their forever home, and moments like this remind us exactly why partnership working matters.

The referral first came through to us via our friends at Cornerstone and a concerned member of the public who wanted to make sure he was safe.

We picked the case up straight away, and from the moment we met him we knew he needed to be housed as a priority.
Working together, a referral was made to Allium Housing who acted quickly and made this case a priority. Thanks to their support, he and his dogs are now safe, warm, and starting the next chapter of their lives together.

This is what collaboration looks like people looking out for each other and organisations working together to make real change happen.

🤝✨ Stronger Together ✨🤝

One thing has become very clear over recent months when charities and organisations work together, real change happens. People are supported faster, needs are met properly, and better outcomes are achieved for those who need help the most.

Collaboration has always been at the heart of what we do. From day one, our aim at The Beaming Light Foundation has been to bring people and organisations together, not to compete but to work side by side. We are proud to be leading by example and championing the idea that by sharing knowledge, resources, and support, we can all achieve more together.

Seeing other organisations taking the same stance is heart warming and humbling.

If we all do a little, no one needs to do a lot.

🏠💙 Another Positive Outcome Through Partnership 💙🏠

Following on from yesterday’s outreach, we are pleased to share that by working closely with our partners we have now been able to secure a housing offer for the homeless gentleman we supported and importantly, both him and his dogs will be housed together 🐾💙

This outcome has only been possible through strong partnership working, and we want to say a special thank you to our friends at Allium Housing for their continued support.

A particular thank you goes to Emma at Allium, who has absolutely gone above and beyond to make this happen. Your dedication and compassion have made a real difference.

This is exactly why collaboration matters. When organisations work together, people are helped faster, safer, and with the dignity they deserve.

🧡 Another Night Nobody Should Have to Face

Today we were alerted to a homeless gentleman living quite far off the beaten track. A man in his 60s, with his two dogs, made homeless through no fault of his own and simply wanting to keep himself away from others.

We were given his location using What3Words, and once the terrain became too difficult for the welfare van, we continued the rest of the journey on foot to reach him.

When we arrived, it became clear he no longer felt safe where he was after being threatened. We were able to move him to somewhere safer using the welfare van Funded by The National Lottery Community Fund , making sure he was out of immediate danger.
Before leaving, we made sure he had a new tent, sleeping bags for both him and his dogs, and plenty of food to get him through the night.

Tomorrow we will continue working tirelessly with our partners to find a longer-term solution and the support he deserves.
Stories like this really stay with us. It’s incredibly difficult walking away knowing someone is still sleeping in a tent, and moments like this remind us why this work matters so much.
No one should ever have to feel unsafe.

This is what partnership working is all about working together to make sure people get help when they need it most.

🤝✨ A Day of Action and Partnership homeless to housed in 1 hour ✨🤝

Today was all about action, partnership, and doing what needs to be done when people need help.

We referred a homeless gentleman to our friends at Allium Housing and within just one hour we had an offer of accommodation for him 🏠💙

From day one, our goal has been to build strong partnerships and genuine friendships with other organisations because we know no single charity can do this alone.

We believe in leading by example when it comes to collaboration, putting people first, and working together to get results. When organisations come together, support happens faster and outcomes are better.

We hope that many more charities and organisations will join us, work alongside us, and help create a network where people are seen, heard, and supported without delay.

🤝✨ A Day of Hope and Action ✨🤝

Today we spent time meeting with new volunteers, talking about the work we do and how, together, we can make a difference in our communities 💙

Alongside this, we were called out to support a homeless gentleman who, without intervention, would have been left without warmth or shelter tonight. We were able to step in and make sure he had what he needed to stay safe.

Days like today remind us why this work matters building a team, responding when it counts, and making sure people are not left facing hardship alone.

🚐 Prepared and Ready 🚐

Today we’ve been busy fitting the racking for our defibrillator donated by the defibshop and fully restocking all of our first aid supplies on the welfare van ✨️

Our welfare van is now equipped to deal with most situations we may encounter while out on outreach whether that’s supporting someone in crisis, responding to a medical emergency, or providing immediate care until further help arrives.
Being prepared means we can act quickly, safely, and confidently when people need us most.

🤝✨ Trusted Through Partnership ✨🤝

Yesterday we were contacted by Northumbria Police to ask for our help.
Fortunately, in this instance, our support wasn’t needed in the end but the fact that we were contacted speaks volumes. Through transparency, honesty, and the way we work, we are proud to be seen as a trusted charity.
What this really highlights is the importance of strong relationships and partnerships. When organisations communicate, trust each other, and work together, support can be put in place quickly when it’s needed most.

We believe real change happens when we work collaboratively, not in isolation putting people first and responding together.

We are thankful for every organisation and partner we work alongside, and we will continue to build relationships that help make our communities safer and stronger 💙

We just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who came along and supported our fundraising Elvis night at The Crows Nest Seaham💃🕺🎤

Thanks to your generosity, we raised an incredible £411.00, which will go directly towards supporting people on the front line helping us continue our work with those facing homelessness.

Every donation, every raffle ticket, and every show of support truly means the world to us 🙏 Thank you to everyone who donated and got involved.

A massive thank you to our amazing team, who work so hard behind the scenes and on the ground to make nights like this possible 💙
