The Youth Hub is supported by BBC Children in Need, Tudor Trust and Public Health Fund for children and young people ages 6 to 19 years. It has four after school and weekend sessions at Dawdon Youth and
Community Centre. These sessions take place at the community centre on a Thursday 5.00-7.00pm and Friday from 4.45-6.45pm (Junior School) and 7.15 - 9.15pm (Senior School). The weekend sessions take place on a Sunday from 11.00am-1.00 pm and are also open to families with younger children. Additional pop up sessions take place regularly, these include holiday camps, events and a young citizens project which are advertised on the projects page. We provide three emotional well-being support projects called Safe Place 2 Talk (ages 6+) on a Monday 4.30-6.30pm and Tuesday 5.30-7.30pm (ages 8+) and the Cree Project (ages 12+) every Wednesday 5.30-7.30pm. Families are able to access Welfare Benefits, Food Bank, Job Support, Advice and Mental Health support from Active Listeners and referal to professionals who specialise in these areas if needed. The project offers sexual health advice to teenagers and young adults and has C Card registration. All staff are DBS cleared, and trained in one or more of the following; Youth work, Play work, Sport, Health and Social Care, Childhood Studies, Behavior Management, Counselling, Play Therapy, Self Harm and Su***de Intervention. Volunteers are also DBS , Pediatric and Workplace First Aid trained and have Level 2/3 Childcare and Food Hygiene Certificates.
