24 HOURS OF FOOTBALL... COMPLETED IT MATE 🫡⚽️

The images are in… and what an eventful 24 hours! 🤣

From the heavens opening in Hour 1 🌧️, to Hour 3 when we realised just how tough it was going to be. The lads pushing us through until bedtime, crazy PJs through the night, looking the roughest we’ve ever looked 🤣… and finally making it to the end. 🏁

A massive thank you to everyone who donated, shared and supported us. ❤️

Nic, we genuinely couldn’t have done it without you! Photographer, barista, Pot Noodle chef, cleaner, counsellor and agony aunt — you did it all! 😂❤️

Shaun, another huge thank you! Player, supporter, groundsman, light technician and everything else. Although, being the club gaffer, you didn’t really have much choice! 🤣

🚨 DIVISION ONE DEBUT. 🚨

It all starts Sunday. Our first ever game in Division One sees us hit the road as we travel to Darlington spraire⚽️

⚽💙💛 WE DID IT! 24 HOURS OF FOOTBALL! 💛💙⚽

What an incredible achievement by our Ladies! 🙌

The lasses have completed an absolutely gruelling 24-hour football match to raise much-needed funds for the team — playing through the day, the night and into the morning. 🌙⚽☀️

There have been tired legs, sore bodies, plenty of laughs, probably a few questionable football decisions 😂 — but most importantly, an incredible amount of determination, team spirit and togetherness.

A massive thank you to Radiator King for sponsoring the event by paying for the supplies that kept the lasses going throughout the day and night. Your support has been absolutely fantastic and we genuinely couldn’t have done it without you. ❤️

A huge thank you also goes to Seaham Harbour Cricket Club for allowing us to use their fantastic facilities and helping make this challenge possible. We are incredibly grateful for your support and generosity. 👏

And of course, a special thank you to the wonderful tuck shop staff for keeping everyone fuelled up throughout the 24 hours! ☕🍔🍫 You kept us going when the legs were starting to give up! 😂❤️

Last season was one to remember. League winners. Cup winners. A double winning season that earned us promotion. 💪

Now the hard work starts all over again.

To give our players the best chance of competing in Division One, on the 28th & 29th of august we’re taking on 24 HOURS OF FOOTBALL ⏰ to raise money for winter training facilities and essential training costs throughout the season.

Every pound makes a difference. Whether it’s £1 or £100, your support helps us keep providing opportunities for local women’s football and allows our squad to continue growing, developing and making our community proud. 😊

Abigail Withers 🌱⚽
Abigail is another player whose football journey is still in its early stages. Having only started playing football in the last couple of years, she joined us with not much confidence and feeling a little deflated.

But what she did have was a willingness to learn, improve and develop — and that has already started to show. She has made some really positive improvements and even got herself on the scoresheet last season by scoring her first ever goal! ⚽🙌
