This week our volunteers are out and about putting labels on our young trees. We love that so many residents help with extra water - it really helps! Please keep strimmers away from the watering bags - replacing them means less money for future tree planting. Thank you for printing the labels for us 😁🌳

Trees for Seaford volunteers had a successful morning's work yesterday! We had some great help from the pupils at Tower House School who have done a fantastic job looking after their trees. Then serious weeding on the new trees in Hartfield Road before a well deserved cuppa at The Lodge 😁

A wonderful sight in Seaford to look out for this month! These are Elm seeds, known as samaras. We spotted them in Carlton and Belgrave Road, where our excellent volunteers made speedy work of weeding and woodchipping the trees, and adding our special protective strimmer guards.

We even had time for a coffee at the Sailing Club in the sunshine!

The rain gods were on our side as well and we stayed dry too! Excellent morning's work pruning and adding protective guards to our trees in Grosvenor Road. With 1,000 trees to care for in Seaford there's lots to do! We meet twice a month on Saturday and Thursday mornings, and we usually go for a coffee and a chat afterwards. 😁🌳

New members are always welcome - no special skills needed.

Our new trees have arrived! We check each tree, dampen the roots and carefully wrap them again, then we do a small amount of pruning and store them carefully until they're ready to plant. This year we have 2 projects: Seafield Close Green and Cuckmere House School. Look out for more updates on our tree planting or let us know what you think!
