We’ve been a bit quiet of late… but for good reason, and you can be certain we’re going to be making up for it.

Starting with a quick word from one of our co-founders, Rob Allen.

We’re lucky enough to have been working with the University of Oxford over the last year. Rob talks through his highlights of Scunthorpe Tomorrow, working with them. From time with Sir Paul Collier, a leading voice on regional economies and development, to being joined by Oxford interns who worked closely with us on a project last year!

We’ll be sharing more on where we’ve been and why over the next few weeks…

For now, watch more of the team and visit the blog post to read the full update - https://www.scunthorpetomorrow.com/keeping-the-momentum-moving

A little throwback to our first Melting Pot event with The Cookie People, where we brought together local people, with all the ideas, all in one room to share, learn, and spark some new thinking.

It was a great example of what happens when you create space for people to connect and talk about what’s possible in our community.

And today, we’re doing it all again!

Our second Melting Pot is happening at UCNL, bringing together like-minded people to keep those conversations going!

We’re looking forward to hearing more ideas, making more connections, and of course, seeing more positive action come out of it this meeting of minds!

🎄 🍻 Scunthorpe Tomorrow is meeting...tomorrow! To round off a fascinating year please join us for some festive drinks at Parkies Steel Town Bar (80-82 Mary Street, Scunthorpe, DN15 7PX). Drop by for a drink or stay all evening, we’d love to see you! 🍻 🎄

There’ll be plenty of chat about the town, shared memories, plans for the future and more. This is an informal meet up, so there won’t be speeches, workshops or panels, unless an impromptu one breaks out of course!

We’ll be gathering from 5.30pm on Friday 5th December. It would be great if you could reply via the Eventbrite link below, just so we have a loose indication of how many might turn up. Feel free to bring Scunthorpe-loving friends and colleagues, and ask them to sign up to the email list if they’re really interested in the future of this glorious town.

If we don’t see you on Friday, we look forward to catching up in 2026 - keep your eyes peeled for more fantastic events by following us on LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook and via email (sign up on the website if you haven’t already).

Thank you for a brilliant year!

To whet your appetite, here’s a cheeky pic of those who were still there at the end last year, and here’s the link to let us know you’re coming tomorrow: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/scunthorpe-tomorrow-festive-celebration-tickets-1964369254319

Great afternoon at . Scunthorpe Tomorrow has been working with Community VISION and North Lincolnshire Council to engage with young people from across as part of the .

Such a fantastic turnout. Thank you to all the young people that attended to share your vision and ideas for Scunthorpe.

... Wow, just wow. 67 young people came through the doors here today at Oasis Community Space as part of YouthLAB Scunthorpe Tomorrow

It was amazing to hear all the ideas today and young people speak so well and so confidently about what the future of Scunthorpe could and should look like... Their focuses were not just youth, but community and future-ready centric.

You should all be so proud of your input today. We are all so proud of you... And in awe really too.

If you facilitate youth work and would like us to come visit you in the next week to get your young people's ideas too if you couldn't make it today... Please pop Hannah, [email protected] a message.
