Hi everyone!
This week, we started off with our usual brownie catch up and brownie points. We congratulated Bella as she became seconder of the rabbits 😊🐰

We then played a team game called finders, keepers. The girls got into teams and they were given 10 balls. They then had to decide how many people they were going to have to guard their stash and send the rest out to steal from another team. They could only steal one ball at a time from another time and if they were tug by another team’s defenders then they had to return the ball and go back to their base. The girls did really well with this and managed to defend their stashes successfully! In the first round, everyone kept their ten balls but in the second and third round Bella’s team won managing to gain two extra balls.

After this, we began making some art work that will be displayed in the 20/21 art gallery next year. As we’ve spent the past few weeks on our kindness badge, we decided to make our art work around this. The girls drew around their hands and wrote along the bottom what kindness meant to them. They then got to paint them in any colour they wanted. We didn’t quite finish them as we ran out of time so we will continue painting next week.

This week’s awards – safety interest badge for Sophie and have adventures theme award for Melanie. Melanie also then got her bronze award 🥉💚 well done girls!

That’s it for now .. next week it’s the start of Christmas craft!!

Hello everyone!

This week, we continued with our kindness badge ❤️

The girls said that they’d posted their cards to their neighbours and that they had been really appreciated ☺️ The girls then cut out love hearts from lots of different coloured paper and wrote on them small acts of kindness they’ve shown this week. Abby (tawny owl) then used these as leaves for our kindness tree which is now on our noticeboard 🩷 she also put up the compliment flowers the girls did last week!

We then had a slight change of topic and practiced being kind to dogs and why it is important to ask for permission before stroking them, respecting their space and not being too loud around them.

We had a time for an old favourite - hibernating hedgehogs! The girls love this game as they get to crawl around before one of them gets hidden under a blanket. The rest of them then have to work out who is missing.

Bonnie went to Betsy this week for being super focused, determined and because she had done some work at home towards her kindness badge despite her not being here last week! 🐻

Lots of badges went out as well: Sophie got her one year anniversary badge, Halia got her grow your own and holidays badges, Mia got her know myself theme award and Lyza got her have adventure theme award and also her brownie bronze award 🩷 We then also gave out the kindness interest badge to: Anna, Emily, Esme, Evelyn, Halia, Holly, Lilly, Mia, Orla, Sophie and Sophia!! well done girls!!

That’s it for this week! 💛

Hello everyone!

Trying to get back into posting more regularly to share all the lovely things we get up to!

This week, we started our kindness badge ❤️

We first talked about kindness and how we can show this. The girls then made a card to spread joy that they could send to their neighbour. These were beautifully decorated and we hope that whoever receives them appreciates them!

The girls then made a compliment flower for another brownie in the unit. They wrote down six compliments they could give their brownie friend and we’re going to put these up on our display board so the girls can be reminded of the lovely things that have been written about them.

Bonnie went to Sophie this week for being super helpful, focused and kind 🐻

A few badges went out as well: Anna got her one year anniversary badge, Eva got her baking badge, Mia and Sophia got their have adventures theme awards and Mia also got her brownie bronze award 🩷 well done girls!!

That’s it for this week! 💛

About Brownies

Brownies introduces girls to a world of new opportunities, challenges and fun.

Girls go along to camps, holidays, day trips and sleepovers. They get together with their friends at regular meetings where they learn new hobbies, get creative, explore other cultures and have outdoor adventures.

As well as trying activities in their meetings, girls choose from interest badges related to things they want to know more about.
