We have teamed up with Ebberston Village Hall to bring you an evening of bingo, dinner and a raffle to help raise funds for the Sportsfield. This event will follow the delicious scone event in the afternoon so feel free to stick around after nosh and natter to show your competitive streak!

Unfortunately we are experiencing a leak in one of the toilets so we have had to turn off the water and lock the toilets.

What do you all love about Ebberston Sportsfield 💚and what would you change/improve?

The volunteers are planning the next chapter for the park so is a great time to have your say on our amazing community facility.

Summer is calling! ☀️🌳 Mark your calendars: Love Parks Week 2026 is officially returning from 24 July – 2 August.

Our local parks are the green hearts of our communities - providing us with fresh air, a place to play, and a sanctuary for nature. We’re getting ready to celebrate them in a big way, and we want YOU to be part of it.

🌞 With beautiful weather due this weekend our volunteers will be on the field tackling some more of our improvement and refreshment tasks. We will keep things quieter with safety net installations this morning and painting Sunday evening, so not to impact your bank holiday visit. We will have spare brushes if anyone would like to join in 🫟🖌️😊

Off the back of our success to begin renovations at the sports field, we are looking for donations towards fundraising efforts. Do you have any unwanted gifts, excess chocolate/alcohol, candles or anything you are happy to gift?

Any donations are gratefully received and can be dropped at 41a Main Street, 1 Kings Lane or alternatively I'll pop a black trug by the toilets at the sports field.

Wow! What an amazing community we have! 🥰 A huge THANK YOU 👏 to everyone who supported a few dedicated hours of graft for our sports field, the bakers who kept everyone powered by sugar, village hall for the loan of litter pick equipment and cricket team for keeping the kettle on.

We still have lots of work to do to so don't worry if you couldn't make it this time, there will be more opportunities soon! 💪

Key achievements
* Hedges trimmed and looking neat and tidy with full litter removal ✨
* The Queens jubilee oak tree starting to proudly emerge🌳
* New tennis net installed and court weeded and swept 🎾
* A hidden path revealed behind the tennis courts providing a full circular walk of the field (more to come on the distance you can cover in a lap!) 👟
* Refurbishment beginning on play equipment (please bear with us whilst we are not looking our best) 🎨🖌️

A little reminder that the upkeep of the park is led by volunteers and is embarking on an exciting improvement and upgrade programme. If you want to be part of shaping the future of the sports field please get in touch.

Hi everyone, a little reminder of our Community Action event at the sports field tomorrow evening and Saturday morning.

A list of jobs we are hoping to tackle is below to help you choose any tools you can support with.

Hedge tidy, including trimming and strimming. There are lots of hedges!
Benches to be reviewed and fixed where possible.
Dead grass removal from between patio pavers.
Litter pick under all the bushes.
Painting of a couple of pieces of equipment.
Safety mats to be freed out of the ground.
Garage to be sorted through and inspection of netting for safety frame, marquee and bouncy castle.

Cake, biscuits, tea and coffee for all volunteers🎉😁🎂☕
