Through physically demanding expeditions that are based on the history of the Royal Yorkshire Regiment and its antecedent cap badges, we raise funds for organisations that support the welfare of our colleagues and their families.

🇳🇴 We’ve been MIA for a bit, both hella busy with work, family and just general life.

Cheeky brew, iron out a few things as we are both proper heaving. Next on the agenda, Remembrance Day. Stay tuned for what we’ve got in store. 🇳🇴

If anyone would like to join the northern branch of the British Korean Veterans Association, either as a veteran of the Korean War or as an associate member, reach out to Ken Keld.

As an associate member, you're helping to keep the memories and stories of that period of history alive. You'll receive a regular newsletter written by Ken himself which contain letters, diaries and stories from the conflict.

Ken joined the army as a Green Howard during the years of National Service and was moved to the Duke of Wellington's to backfill numbers for the Korean War. Both cap badges eventually joined to form parts of the Yorkshire Regiment as we know it today. Ken is a veteran of the Battle of the Hook which remains a Yorkshire Regiment battle honour to this day so it's safe to say he's a legend!

If anyone's interested or just wants to support living history, get amongst it.

Thank you to Ken Keld and the Northern Branch of the British Korean Veterans Association for including The Hard Routine in your recent newsletter.

Separated by generations but united by a common goal. Thanks for the support.

As may be obvious, British Korean Veterans are a shrinking group of legends who've got war tales for days. If anyone wants to support the Association and help keep their stories alive or receive their newsletter, contact either us or Ken.

Buy Ken's journals from his time fighting in Korea.

It is with great sadness to learn of the passing of His Majesty King Harald V of Norway this morning.

King Harald held a special significance for many local veterans of Teesside and North Yorkshire as our former Colonel-in-Chief of The Green Howards, a role he held from 1992 until the regiment’s amalgamation in 2006.

The connection between the Norwegian Royal Family and our regiment was something very special and a proud part of our history.

Our event next year ties in with the royal family in so many ways from the route with the kings guards to the king Harold flash.

Our heartfelt condolences go to the Norwegian Royal Family, the people of Norway, and all those mourning his loss.

Rest in peace, Sir. 🇳🇴🇬🇧

Killed in the line of duty on home soil.

Doing their best under a government that consistently undermines them and strips away their ability to work.

For a public that often abuses them and takes them for granted.

Against a gutter media that has spent a decade posting bias click bait and sh*tting all over every thing they do.

All to tackle a criminal class that is emboldened by all of the above and favoured by a justice system that seeks to make excuses for them at every turn.

May God bless them and their grieving families.

Not forgotten boys, rest easy.
