🌟 EAGLES CUBS CAMP AT BIRCH HALL! 🌟
What a fantastic weekend our Cubs have had at Birch Hall! 🏕️ We’ve packed so much into our camp, and we’re so proud of everything they’ve achieved!
🌌 Friday night kicked off with work towards our Space Activity Badge, followed by some stargazing, glow stick hide and seek and a film to wind down. And in a camp miracle… ALL the Cubs were asleep by midnight on the first night! 🤯😂 We’re not sure how long that record will last!
🐦 Saturday started with learning about the Countryside Code before making bird feeders and hanging them around the woods to give our feathered friends a helping hand. We then put our outdoor cooking skills to the test, making pizzas and delicious banana splits over the fires. 🍕🍌🔥
After lunch, there was time for games and shelter building before learning semaphore, making our own flags, trying out tracking skills and completing nature scavenger hunts. The Cubs then took on a blindfolded obstacle course through the woods, testing their communication and teamwork skills! 🙈🌳
The evening finished in true camp style with a campfire 🔥, tuck shop treats 🍬 and another film before bed.
🏹 Sunday brought even more excitement, with bases including air r***e shooting, archery, tomahawk throwing and air activities. After lunch, the Cubs got creative by making their own kites and then taking them out to see if they would fly! 🪁
And just like that, it was time to pack up and head home after a brilliant weekend full of adventure, new skills, teamwork, laughter and memories. ❤️
A huge well done to all our Cubs for getting stuck into everything, challenging themselves and making it such a great camp. And, of course, a massive THANK YOU to our amazing leaders and volunteers who gave up their weekend to make it all happen! 👏💚
