Old Globe Lodge 200 Scarborough Freemasons. Old Globe Lodge was the first lodge to be formed in Scarborough in 1788. What is Freemasonry? Freemasons meet in lodges.

We are a unique members’ organisation formed over 300 years ago. We have no political or religious affiliations, and welcome members of all ages, races, religions, cultures, and backgrounds. Our roots stem from the traditions and ceremonies of the medieval stonemasons, which encourage us to be more tolerant and respectful and to actively fulfil our responsibilities to family, community and ourselves. As a freemason you will join a specific lodge and will then be welcome at any lodge around the world.

🔵 **Another Proud Evening at Old Globe Lodge No. 200** 🔵

Old Globe Lodge No. 200 recently enjoyed another memorable evening as we had the honour of raising **Bro. Callum Walker** to the **Sublime Degree of a Master Mason**.

The ceremony was conducted with great pride by the Lodge team, marking an important milestone in Callum’s Masonic journey. We hope the evening was as memorable for him as it was for everyone who attended.

During the evening, we also welcomed a brief talk about **WBro. David Birkinshaw’s incredible 174-mile charitable bike ride along Hadrian’s Wall**, completed in support of **Westway Open Arms**.

Our raffle raised a fantastic **£136.50**, with Old Globe Lodge proudly rounding the donation up to **£250** for this very worthy cause.

Although he has barely had time to get out of the saddle, David is already planning his next charitable effort!

Working alongside **Peace and Mind Financial Solutions Ltd**, we are now looking for donations of toys and gifts suitable for **boys and girls aged from newborn to 17 years old**. These will be given to underprivileged children within our local community this Christmas.

More information about donating will follow shortly, but please start spreading the word and help us make Christmas a little brighter for local children and young people.

A huge congratulations to **Bro. Callum Walker** on becoming a Master Mason, and very well done to **WBro. David Birkinshaw** for his continued dedication and hard work.

**The Lodge is incredibly proud of you both!** 👏⚜️

Thank you to everyone who attended, supported the raffle and helped make it another excellent evening at Old Globe 200.

🔵 A Proud and Memorable Evening at Old Globe Lodge No. 200 🔵

Last week marked a very special occasion for Old Globe Lodge No. 200, as we had the honour of conducting our first Third Degree ceremony in seven years!

The evening began in true Old Globe fashion, with plenty of snacks and nibbles kindly provided by the Worshipful Master’s partner. As always, she made absolutely certain that our members and distinguished guests were very well fed before proceedings began!

With the Lodge room packed with visitors from our sister Lodges, along with our good friends from Howley Lodge in West Yorkshire, you might have expected the team to be feeling the pressure. Instead, everyone got stuck in and made it an evening to be proud of.

The main purpose of the night was, of course, to raise Bro. Jan Amante to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason, almost two years after he first began his Masonic journey with us.

Jan has become an incredibly valued member of Old Globe 200, and it was a genuine privilege for the Lodge and its members to play a part in this important milestone in his Masonic journey.

It was a night filled with friendship, brotherhood and a great sense of pride — made even more memorable by having so many visitors there to share the occasion with us.

Congratulations, Bro. Jan Amante! 👏

Everyone at Old Globe Lodge No. 200 hopes you enjoyed the evening as much as we did, and that your Third Degree will remain an unforgettable part of your Masonic journey for many years to come.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended, supported the team and helped make our first Third Degree in seven years such a memorable occasion.

Here’s to many more! 🍻⚜️

🚴‍♂️ 171 MILES FOR CHARITY – GOOD LUCK FROM OLD GLOBE 200! 🚴‍♂️

Today, a fantastic charity challenge gets underway as a group of Freemasons take on an incredible 171-mile ride along Hadrian’s Wall, with each rider raising funds for a charity close to their own heart.

We’re especially proud that one of our own Old Globe Lodge No. 200 member Wbro David Birkinshaw is taking part in the journey, raising much-needed funds for Westway Open Arms.

It’s a tremendous challenge and an even better cause. From everyone at Old Globe 200, we’d like to congratulate him on getting to the start line and wish him — and all those taking part — the very best of luck for the miles ahead.

Keep those wheels turning, enjoy the journey, and most importantly, stay safe! 🚴‍♂️💪

Good luck from everyone at Old Globe 200! ⚜️

The Old Globe was proud to visit our sister lodge on Monday on very historical day, in attendance was our Worshipful Master Director of Ceremonies and Secretary. Our WM reluctantly gave the response for the visitors after some time of trying to "delegate" someone else today do it, but unfortunately it didn't work out for him!

Another big leap for Scarborough Freemasonry and we'll done to the efforts of 7147 but also to the team behind masonic awareness, its a truly inspirational direction masonry is going helping those thats masonic or none masonic struggling in times of need.
