Scalloway Youth Café Project offers young people from 10 years and up a safe and friendly environment to come and relax. We also offer a range of different activities and programmes along with Volunteering opportunities for the young people in the community. We have a games hall, music room, snooker/pool room, Darts, arts and crafts and a Café area which sells milkshakes and other food and soft dr

inks at a low cost. We have a large flat screen TV with channels including music and a PS 3. There is a top of the range music system and access to WIFI. There is also a house band and we are always looking for more young people to show their talents. There are trained staff on site at all times and policies and procedures in place to provide the smooth running of the project. There is a Youth Committee to ensure the voice of the Young people is heard at Management Committee meetings. We are easily accessible from the main Street in Scalloway set in a back drop of the beautiful Scalloway Bay. There is a one off annual membership fee and the cost of entry is £1 a night to use all the services in the building.

Scalloway Youth & Community Centre - Youth Provision

The trustees of the Scalloway Youth & Community Centre are undergoing a review of our current youth club provision and have a few important changes to tell you about.

Friday night sports - age group changes
Juniors (6.15pm - 7.45pm) - Aged P4 - P7
Seniors (8pm - 10pm) - Aged S1+ (Children in P7 who have attended the senior session, who wish to continue doing so, are welcome).

The age groups of our Friday night music project will remain at aged 14+ and our Youth Café will remain at aged 10+.

Parent / Carer Contact Information

We would ask all parents/ carers to take a few minutes to complete our online contact information form if their child attends one of our sessions. It is important that we hold up to date emergency contact and medical information for the young people that attend the centre in the event of an emergency.

‼️MEMBERSHIPS ARE DUE 1ST SEPTEMBER‼️

Memberships are now due, membership forms can be picked up from the Centre.

Memberships are £10 per child and £20 for a family (2+ children).

Young people with a membership will pay £1 per session all others will pay £2.

Non-members will have to complete an emergency contact form before being allowed to attend clubs in the centre.

WE'RE BACK!!!

Tonight we have our two friday clubs Sports and Music.

Sports will be open at 6.15-7.45pm for P4-6, and 8pm-10pm for P7+

Music will be starting at 6.30pm for 12+ Years old!

We are so excited to be back in action and are looking forward to seeing you all tonight!
