Have you found a Flapper Skate eggcase in Shetland? If so we would love to hear from you.

UHI Shetland are helping NatureScot to collect Flapper Skate eggcases from around Scotland to look into potential levels of contaminants and plastics in the cases and use trace elements and isotopes to help predict where the eggcases came from.

If you have any flapper Skate eggcases that you would be happy to donate to the project you can drop them along to UHI Shetland's Scalloway Campus Reception or drop us a message.

If you need help with identifying an eggcase you have found the The Shark Trust have lots of useful information on their website
