1st Sawston Brigades

Last night we had a sleepover. We made pizza and pancakes for dinner. With cakes supplied by a lovely parent. The children put the tents up in side as it’s still cold. It’s was quiet by midnight. In the morning after breakfast everyone helped put tents away and get the church ready for the service.

Today the girls learnt about the banners that are around our church. The older boys continued their woodworking skills but making bug houses.

We had a great Burns Night supper tonight with Scottish ceilidh dancing as well!
GB members cooked the haggis, veggie haggis, and mashed the neaps and tatties.
BB members made cranachan which was delicious!

It was a busy but very fun night.

We have spaces so be in touch if your son or daughter want to come and join us.

We have started sessions again. The girls are finishing of their winter badges. The boys are looking at rules and why we need them. Also our band has lots of new young members. Have a few spaces left in most sections. Bring your son or daughter to see what goes on

It was our last meeting of the year Tuesday. The cubs joined us for our carol service. After watching the children we were treated to mince pies and drinks from some of our church members. Huge thanks to everyone who helped making this evening possible

We are so proud of the GB and BB members that paraded this morning. We had nearly everyone there and the marching was superb, as was the respect shown during the service at the war memorial.
Let’s hope the message of peace and showing respect to others filers to the wider community and beyond!

While the girls made marble runs with the conkers the younger boys made a wonderful picture. The older boys practiced using drills. We have a future project coming up and are in need of large sheets of cardboard, which can be collected. It may have something to do with a sleep out
