Creative Biosphere

Creative Biosphere A yearlong project on the Isle of Wight, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, with 5 schools, 5 arts & heritage organisations and 5 artists.

The Creative Biosphere project, a partnership of five cultural organisations, five schools and colleges and five artists, brought together through the Isle of Wight’s Cultural Education Partnership, aims to inspire creativity within young people through the Island’s UNESCO Biosphere Status. The yearlong project will foster an appreciation of the young people’s local environment and heritage, stren

gthen partnerships, increase awareness of the Island’s Biosphere designation and lead to a takeover of the cultural organisation in Autumn 2022, through meaningful creative activity. The project is supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England and The Isle of Wight Area of Outstanding Beauty (IWAONB), and by the two High Street Heritage Action Zones (Newport and Ryde) and Ventnor Exchange’s project.
